Wow you got a good picture. I never can get close enough to get a picture like that. I knew yesterday when I was working outside one was close but he was still so well hidden I never did see him, but I could hear him scolding.

I can't take much credit for the shots I get. Luckily the pond and its trees are close by the house, and I take a lot of shots out of the window of my office which has a fantastic view! :)

NOT good news if you have chickens! I had a near miss yesterday - and I was outside with them, too, but my back was turned cleaning out the hen house - obviously the rascal probably didn't know I was there, but the girls went nuts and I walked out to see what the commotion was and he was taking off (nobody hurt). They were so freaked out (understandably) that 3 of them hovered in their house for around 30 minutes while others took cover under bushes and one of them would not leave my side. Scary.

Yeah, back in the day when we had ducks, they'd come in and snag the ducklings. And they've killed plenty of songbirds and a road runner here too...
