Yes, we have bales!

Neighbor to the North was happy to get more bales for their beef cattle's winter meals.  And we're happy to keep agricultural status on our property for tax purposes.  Win-Win!

I love round bales! That kind of hay is far superior to the kind of hay we have out here. It reminds me of my Dad's hay field. He used to live in Oklahoma. He now lives in heaven. :) My sister lives on their place. She rents out the pastures and the hay field to the guy who lives next door.
I still think it looks so pretty out in the fields.

I'm glad your sis still lives on the family place. Leasing out the field is an easy way to keep thing productive but without all the headaches and expense that go along with equipment. We get a lot of folks here that bale hay for a living so a lot of folks just hire them out rather than keep the equipment themselves. And we get a lot of beef cattle operations that lease fields too. Nice compromise for folks like us who have property but don't have all the resources/equipment to do it for ourselves. :)

I always like to see the round hay bales in the pastures.

The round balers are a godsend. I have no idea how many hours I've spent stacking or handling the small square bales :(. Now we just run a bale fork into one of the big round bales and away we go :).
