Oh, to be a dog...

They have quite the life here at Run*A*Round.  And running is not always their main objective.

Some days it's just Nap*A*Round Ranch.

My dog seldom rests like that. She's too busy terrorizing the cats! (She thinks that, at least. The truth be known, they're trying to figure out how to get a German Shepherd in the crock pot and what sauce to use:)

I love it! Our Sadie can sleep just about anywhere.

There have been times, at our house, where you just had to step over a dogs sleeping on the floor! Gotta love being a dog owner!

Do they stay "sleeping" when you move around? Mine seem to never really sleep -- they are just laying around, waiting for the door to open. ;)

Ours prefer the bed or on the recliner with you. They sleep hard, not many burglars would get caught!

I know how Farmchick feels; I have to have a night light on in my bedroom so that I don't get up in the middle of the night and step on a dog!

Your babies are precious. Don't know how you ever get anything done around the house tho. I'm always stopping to hug mine and talk baby talk to them. Next thing I know 35 mins have passed...and since I don't want anyone to feel left out, I do that with all 3 of them!

Nancy, for the most part, I can move around and they won't get up. If I go into the bedroom, eventually one or two will get up and relocate to their beds in there. My oldest girl, Marigold, is the worst of the bunch - has to keep an eye on "mommy".

Kent Island Red, you are definitely a kindred spirit - I have to pet them, kiss on them, tell them how perfect they are, etc. etc. :)

You have four dogs! And each one seems cuter than the last. Love the lab who is sleeping half on and half off of the bed.

Haha! Wouldn't I LOVE a nap-a-round! Today we're lugging out an old bookcase to replace it with a new one a friend gave us. They're going modern, but we like the cozy country look, so the bookcase is ours! Dust abounds!

Louise - 5 actually. The half on/half off rubber one is BB. She's Rott/border collie mix (we think). :)

That's funny! They take up the entire couch! Where do they "let" you sit! hehehe

Have a great day!

Thank you for you kind comment on my blog and for visiting. I really like the photos on your blog but my favorite would have to be the squirrel. Have a wonderful weekend!

This is great! A friend brought her dog Raven along with her for Thanksgiving dinner. Since I don't have a dog, I was unsure of the rules of feeding people-food, like crispy poultry skin, and letting her onto the couch... the dog, not my friend. I'll admit, Raven quickly became a too-cute shadow after I fed her a couple scraps while I was preparing soup from the left-overs. It was a good day. Hope your Thanksgiving was just as good, twg!

I have had days when I felt just like that. That is so funny to see them sleeping like that.
