Seek and Hide

The dogs have been bringing back more cow bones from the Neighbor to the North's pasture - must have lost another beefer.  Thankfully the majority of the carcass was already cleaned by coyotes before the dogs helped themselves to the remainder of the buffet.  However, Thelma found it necessary to bring the hide back to the yard.

Gotta guard her "catch" from her sister, Louise.
Look at that face!
Looking smug, if not a bit embarrassed...

Don't you just love it when they bring back their treasures to show off? I just love this post, you really didn't need any words to see what is going on :)

Yeah, my dog showed up one day with a ole leg bone she found. She was so proud of herself too and I finally gave up and let her keep it.
They do love that stuff.I love the look on their faces.

Haha! They remind me of Laurel and Hardy. Thelma's expression is a hoot.

Oh, and I think you could probably make some leather crafts out of that hide, like a stylish belt or a latigo wallet -- once you can manage to wrestle it away from Thelma. ;)

Hahaha...oh too funny!
What a good dog owner! When my dog drags "buffet" items home I'm out there with a broom trying to shoo her away from the house:)))

It's soft and furry. You know mom would bring it home too.

That's so funny and quirky! She looks so proud for a kill she did not make! :D

We recently had a dead bat left at our back door. The kids thought that was great and wanted to examine it, which, of course, I did not let them do!!!
