Thanksgiving dinner, Texas style?!

At a hole-in-the-wall Tex Mex place 'around the corner' from us...
They come with cranberry salsa.

Now I love turkey, dressing and cranberries.  And I really like tamales too.  But there are some traditions I'm not willing to mess with, so even though I was tempted, I did not take them up on their offer.  Maybe next year...

To clarify, these are tamales MADE of turkey and dressing, served with cranberry salsa.  Not an "either/or" choice.  :)  Not sure 2 great things make 1 good thing...

But these are tamales made out of turkey and dressing! Served with cranberry salsa! Could be good, but sometimes, just don't mess with a good thing!

Hello!! I'm sorry I've not been able to visit your blog the last few days--But I wanted to tell you that I went to Lancaster PA today and thought of you when I saw a few of these amazing trees...I tried to get pictures in passing, but couldn't.

I'm also with you on this tamale thing...I'm too much of a traditionalist, especially with Thanksgiving dinner--I hope you have a safe and wonderful one!! :-))

I have never had a Tamale. I don't even know what they look like or are "originally" made of.
So....I think I'll stick with tradition;))

I'm from the south and I didn't even have a taco until I was 20 something. I prefer the old fashioned menu with all the trimmings. Have a great Thanksgiving at the Run*A*Round!

Oh mercy, that is some kind of dinner. I am not very adventurous but both thanksgiving dinner and tex mex are probably my two favorite foods. Why mess up a good thing?

My Wyoming friend whose gentleman friend is latino would so love this! I'm going to tell her about it and see if she tries to make it herself!

But I agree with you... don't mess with tradition! :D

Happy Thanksgiving to you!! Hugs xoxo

I would definitely try it! My stomach might hate me for it, though. :)
