Harris' Sparrow

We will get these little guys once in a while around here, and they always entertain me with their antics.  This one bopped around during one of our Feb. snow storms.

He was very active.

He's so cute - looks like he's "slamming on brakes" in a couple of those pictures!
I'm sure the birds - as well as most of the humans I know - are ready for spring!

Sorry about the previous comment.
The second to the last one looks like he's putting on the breaks.

I like the shot where his wings are spread. During the snow/ice we had some larger sparrow looking birds show up and they were bullies! They even made the blue jays go away which is quite the accomplishment.

I know you're not crazy about the snow, but you have to admit, it sure adds light to your photos!

We have so many sparrows around here, various colorings, I can't tell which is which. They seem to be quite nervous!

I love how you catch them in flight.

I just love sparrows. They're so cheeky and cheery. You can just see this guy's personality in your lovely photos.

Sparrows, it seems to me, are a lot like chihuahuas---cute but too small to get the job done. snicker. Great shots!

Sparrows are such beautiful little birds. I have a few little house wrens that stay around my front porch. To be such little birds they have a very loud voice.

Would you mind responding on my blog with your email address? It's a rescue matter that you may, or may not, be able to help with.

We have so many of these here all winter long -- and some would say they are as loveable as a blackbird -- but I love watching them at the feeder. I think I almost saw one smiling the other day (I need to get out more.)
