The Jungle Gym Buffet

In case you want to get a sunflower feeder like this one:
I found this one at a discount chain called Big Lots. I've gone back and tried to buy more, but never found any. However, I did a search online a while ago for a fellow blogger (JP @ Home in the Hollow) and found one similar to this one. Here's the similar model she bought (shipping will eat your lunch!):

Nice camera work. I've never seen a feeder like that, do you know what the cost and where did you buy it?

I think that might be for a different critter but it sure comes out entertaining.

Is that a shrike? We have some that live in a old tree a couple of fields away. I wasn't sure what they are. I like how you got such a close up of his mask. That is a very nice feeder.

Tex,
...that is a really cool feeder~ I love it! I wonder, do squirrels like it as well?

Holy Crow! I was going to order one of those feeders until I saw the shipping cost. Then, I convinced myself that the squirrels around here would have it empty within 30 minutes of filling and decided against ordering one.

Couldn't you just watch those bold little chickadees for hours?

All you need now is a squirrel and you would have a circus.

Very cool feeder! It reminds me of a "chucky cheese" for birds :) I bet all the birds are going to flock to your house!!

There is a Big Lots right down the highway from me. I'll have to check it out.

My unusual bird sighting for today...a hawk walking along our fence conveniently located right next to our shed which has a little animal trail coming out from under it . No telling what lives under there...hopefully just bunnies, but I saw a rat laying in the middle of our street the other night when out on a walk with my hubby and doggie. Dis. Gust. Ing. (I do an impression for anyone who looks my way.)

He was gone before I could grab my camera, probably close by and i just couldn't see him in all the trees. (The hawk, not the rat.) I see them often in the sky or up in the tree but never on my fence.

Do you have a squirrel problem with your feeders? It is a constant battle of wits between the squirrels and myself. I think I am finally winning the war.

Oh, this one looks like a hamster cage! I'm going to have to look for one. And for the record, I'm jealous of all you guys with squirrel problems!!
