Moonchild

I am a moonchild - born in the sign of Cancer.  It's hard not to be enamored with a moon so bright and beautiful and (almost) full.  These were taken night before last.

I love how the moon pushes paint into the clouds as they pass by, creating color and shadow in the swirls.

Gorgeous moon shots! I read that February and March's full moons are exceptionally large due to the current distance from earth. I'm hoping for some cracks in the clouds tonight :-)

Great pictures of the moon. It's full moon here tonight, and sometimes it's strange to think about, that we all are looking at the same moon, no matter how long distances are between us.
Have a nice weekend:)

The first image is incredibly poetic, with excellent composition and subtle tones / shadowing.

Great shots! I saw that same scene with the moon and the clouds early this morning on my walk, but your pics are a lot better than mine. Blessings...

I wonder what it is that is so mesmerizing about a full, or almost full, moon? Those pictures are beautiful, strikingly so.

The moon is beautiful and when you look toward the clouds, they can see another world.

Those are awesome. I took some moon pics last night. I haven't really checked them out yet, but I don't expect to be 'wowed' as I'm really bad at taking moon pics for some reason :) Yours are so magical-cool!! -Tammy

I tried last night to capture this gorgeous moon over the canyon, but nothing much came out. I'm a Gemini/Cancer and yes, that can be confusing at times. Then I see someone with my name above, so I have to go find out who she is.--Inger

We've had the same moon on the North Dakota prairie this week. I wished I was photographing it early yesterday when my husband and I were driving to the airport. I absolutely love the photos you captured. Stunning.

Lovely moon shots! I saw the moonlight while I tried to sleep, but I didn't actually go and look at it. It was really bright in here!

So glad you got that. I stood outside and I knew there was no way my camera would get it. I am so glad you did. It was just beautiful.

WOW! What great pics! I saw your response on FarmChick's blog, and wanted to see what you were all about! I'm a new follower! Stop by our farm for a visit. We used to have a dairy, but now we have feeder cattle and grow corn and beans in NW Indiana!

Beautiful -- I took some last night around twilight -- no clouds to speak of, so they aren't as interesting as your photos.

Very mysterious and eery shots. :)

awesome shots, girlfriend! while kensi was out "doing her thing" tonight, i dug out the telescope. still chilly, but i can't help but stay out when everything is lit so beautifully.

it's a dream of mine to see the northern lights too. not the little hint we get on occasion, but the full-blown-across-the-sky light show! maybe in my old age, on a cruise... ;o)
