Shades of the Godfather; Part III

Just in case you thought there was no recent skull-duggery going on here at Run*A*Round, Baron is here to prove you wrong.
Shades of the Godfather (the original) was equine skull.  Shades, the sequel was bovine skull.  Part 3 is porcine aka wild boar.  This is the 2nd one the dogs have brought back home from neighboring properties.  At least someone is keeping the feral hog population at bay...

If that dog comes anywhere near me after his meal, I'll be quoting Lucy Van Pelt with the best of them: "Ugh! I've been kissed by a dog! I have dog germs! Get hot water! Get some disinfectant!"

We used to have a golden retriever, and during hunting season he would bring home every bone he could find. Our yard would look like a mass grave - bones everywhere. We'd gather them up by the trash bag full.

We had a dog at a barn I once boarded my horse at who would bring home deer parts and bury them in the stalls. Real fun cleaning the stall and coming up with a leg.

I had just been reading an article on the feral hogs running wild in the southern states. Sounded like they can become a real problem.

Feral hog: I wouldn't want to run into one of them.

Oh my... I'm sure that's very "tasty?" LOL... but I think I'd freak a bit if it was carried into the kitchen!

Jayne, I definitely have to watch the dogs to see if they're carrying anything when they come inside!

Amy (Verde Farm), I've seen some as large as my dogs and probably weigh more than they do. I'd not want to meet with a herd of them, for sure. Most times I see carcasses.

I've seen that here too! Yuk! Our girls once brought a skull attached to the spine, all of it completely clean of any meat - thank goodness. And, oh... how proud they look dragging these things home.
