The sounds of spring - Peepers!

Okay, after 2 blogs that I follow have mentioned hearing spring peepers, I'm going to post this little video clip that I took last year just to share the sounds of spring with those of you who might still be waiting for it.
video
You don't have to play the whole thing, and there's nothing to see but darkness since it was recorded at night across the pond, but the little frogs' songs are so cute.  I don't remember hearing these guys when I lived in Wisconsin so I'm not sure if they're more of a southern thing.  And at times, their song can hardly be tuned out.    Hope you can play this...

I hear what I call peepers in the background, but what's the critter with the sense of humor?

love them, love them, love them. And also the western chorus frogs. We heard both froggies briefly a week or so ago, then BAM! Another snowstorm hit and more cold weather. They'll be back! Thanks for the froggie fix ;) -Tammy

I love it, the sound reminds me of nights camping near a lake. In our backyard we mostly hear the crickets in the summer. Thanks for sharing the sounds of spring.

One of my favorite things of Spring and Summer is listening to the frogs in the evenings.

I am soooo ready to hear that sound. Since I grew up on this farm, and now it's our farm, I always loved hearing them. And it's not just a southern thing, we are in western NY. Thanks so much for sharing! 8>)

When spring arrives I will hear the frogs singing and think about you. Not the same tune but the enthusiasm is contagious.

I am having a wonderful time exploring your beautiful blog.

That was neat. Sometimes I click on a blog and the person has music playing. I find it difficult to view the blog so I usually move on. Now if a blogger had these peepers playing instead of music, that I could appreciate. Very nice.

It reminds me of the lake we visit each summer in MN. I don't know if its the same frog, but it sounds like summer to me! Thank you!!
