Spinning wheel

Unlike so many of the old windmills, this one still turned.

There's something about old windmills that conjure up visions of self-sufficiency. Oh, what tales most of them could tell.

And when I compare the windmills of the past with these ugly, scenery-scarring monstrosities of today I am sickened at where we've come.

beautiful windmill shot, like the sepia tones. we have a working windmill here at our manatee village, it is with old houses and barns, preserved for those who might never see one

We still have a few in my area. But few actually spin.

Great iconic photo.

I love to see old windmills and to see one turning would be neat. I see only broken ones that are on their last leg of life.

Reminds me of Nebraska, T. It is difficult to find working windmills -- so many have either been damaged by weather or have been vandalized/parts stolen.

We just love these windmills! Would be neat to have one in the front pasture. But they are so hard to find!

I love the old windmills and the new ones. Both have their own beauty and as always, so needed.

I wonder if it's still actually working?

What a great shot! The human is very proud of her windmill, too. It turns, and she is thinking of moving it to a more photogenic location.

I would love to have one here and make some electricity, very costly though for the initial start up! I think they look very cool!
