Spring bellies

Nothing like pregnant mare bellies and/or horse lips nibbling fresh greens to put you in the spring mood.

These lovely ladies pasture caddy-corner 'cross the road from Run*A*Round.

I love that paint horse. Always my favorites. My favorite horse was a paint. I loved it when they get those big ole bellies.

T, do you think, some dark night, you & your "helper" could out out and capture that paint for me? P.S. But don't tell them it was my idea if you get caught!...:)JP

Fresh greens and spring seem so far away today. We've got a blizzard happening right now. Got about 6-8 inches yesterday and plenty more today. Temp. is suppose to drop to minus 10 tonight. Yea, we won't be seeing anything green for a while! ha ha I'll just have to have faith that spring is going to return, because you have pics of spring in Texas!

Howdy! Thanks so much for your kind comments today. I've just had a grand time exploring your blog. We don't have the same delightful signs of spring that you do in Texas, but we do get excited about later sunsets, melting snow, etc. The sun is high enough in the sky this week to clear the ice gunk from 2/3 of my driveway. How's that for a seasonal rush?? I'll visit often, and will look for you again to stop by. ;o)

All the baby animals of Spring. Now there's a sight worth waiting for. The expectant mama's are beautiful.

Pretty view you have. I can't wait to see the colts.

They are so beautiful! Make sure to take photos of the colts!

Waiting for foals to drop is a wonderful spring pass-time of my daughters. She gets as excited as if she were birthing herself. I always get a 'Congratulations Grandma!', when a new colt or filly arrives. You will have fun watching the neighborhood mares.

Spring bellies hey? Wish I had a good excuse for mine;)
Oh I so wish spring was around the corner for me. I don't mean to whine...but oh warm weather would be lovely.
Wonderful pictures.

Okay, admittedly I am not a horse person. But I am attracted to Pintos and I guess what are called "Paint" by the previous post. Really like their markings.

So sweet...are you going to show the babies when they are born?

Joe said...

Ah, green grass. Ours is still brown with no hint of green.
