What a beautiful bird! Hmmmm, maybe a portrait for your give away some month?
Oh yes-keep him right in Texas away from my fancy chickens!! Beautiful shots!! I chased one with a broom a couple years ago that swooped down near my chickens-couldn't believe afterwards that I had!!

Oh lovely shot getting the hawk in flight. Really nice photo.
I love watching hawks. We have one down the road that sits in the same place and looks like he is patiently waiting for the mouse to come out of it's whole. wonderful creatures!
Hawks are such beautiful birds and this one is no exception. I've never heard of 'red shoulder'. Lat week, I happened to be in the right place at the right time and captured a red-tailed hawk at less than 20' with a 200mm telephoto, which I hope to be posting soon.
That last image is amazing!! And nice with the "Fly-Bye", corny, but funny.. Haha..
what an awesome bird ~ love the way you captured him in flight 'hugs from afar'
Theresa, nice series of shots! Great in flight!
A great action shot - I love the drape of the wings.
They are so amazing. I have a coopers hawk nest in a tree in our yard. They have been nesting here for 4 years now. I have not seen them around the nest this year. They are in the area though.
What a fine series of this great looking bird. The one flying add more details and finishes the series very well. Nice job of shooting.

Wow!!! Look at those wings!!
That last shot is the icing on the cake! Well done!
Well you know hawks and I do not get along because they try to pick out your eyeballs....but man that dude has a beautiful wing span
and this is why my kids are penned in the barn with Mom for 3-4 weeks after being born. Our kids are a lot smaller than some. These guys could just pick one up and off he would go with it.
Love that in-flight shot!
love the pattern on the wings!
Very cool! I love hawks and eagles. The in-flight shot is top shelf, T!
