Another scamper rat

Squirrels are just so darn cute.  (And, no, I'm not putting him in a stew!)

Who ever dreamed a tail would be so handy? He is so cute. Little pest.

My mom has a couple of white oaks just outside her front door. She's been feeding the herd of squirrels living in those trees for so long that they'll walk right up to you and beg for a peanut. Last time I was home I swear one of them pulled a knife and demanded my wallet. And Mom wonders why I carry a gun!

He's an expert at using all his body talents to be a little acrobat! They are so entertaining to watch. This is a fine series in that you got so many totally different poses of him doing his thing.

Cute pics and I love your nick name for this little critter!

They are the biggest pains in the posterior portion, and the funniest cutest critters around. I don't begrudge a single sunnie that they eat because they make me laugh, every day.

great pictures...i love the little guys as well!! yours have such orange bellies, i have only seen them colored like that on your blog!!! xo

Jules said...

No squirrel stew in this house either!

Around our house, we see mostly the gray ones. There are just a few of these reddish ones.

Is there any difference in breed between these two types, or is it just a case of "redheaded" x "salt & pepper" ones?

A big hug.

He is a real cutie, I love to watch them figure out different ways to get the food out of the feeders.

No talk of squirrel stew in this house!!!!

He must be a cousin to the three squirrels I have in FW. Aren't they fun to watch? I think ours have babies now from the looks of the close-ups. xo Jenny

I don't know, you had a hawk in your last post and a squirrel in this one--You may not be thinking of putting him in a stew but I wonder if the hawk would like to!! :-)))

Love the squirrels, especially when they sleep on a branch or railing in the sun:) And to answer your question, it is a door, you can not take pictures in the archives so it is the outside door.

Even though ours hang upside down on all of our bird feeders and steal our tomatoes out of the garden, I still love watching them.
