Theresa, I love to watch those guys soar! It's interesting to see how long they can go without flapping their wings!
I watched an eagle the other day, going around and around in circles. It went for the longest time without a flap!

They have the quite the wing span! I love watching them sunning themselves with wings extended and sitting on telephone lines or trees here at our ranch. Great photos

Even though they have faces only a mother could love I really enjoy watch Turkey Vultures soar. Great capture of this fellow in flight, I especially like your second photo.

They are such gorgeous flyers! You just don't want to see them up close and personal or you'll get uglied out.

Great Downy shots and these are amazing! I've tried to get pictures of birds in flight and have yet to get one that shows off the beauty of the birds that you've captured!

I hope you've had an enjoyable day!!

Looking at those pictures I can almost imagine it is a nice summer day. So pretty, and I do love to watch Vultures soar on the wind of the updrafts and down drafts.

How did you do that? I ask, having tried but lost the birds to the blue skies so many times. From someone who knows how hard it is, congratulations, those are fabulous.--Inger

Up close and personal vultures aren't the most attractive birds around, but watching them fly and soar is a thing of beauty.

They are fun to watch fly, but there is something on the ground that isn't too happy.
