I laughed seeing the shot with his head completely submerged. That is a great one!

I'd never get anything done if I lived where you lived...I would be outside all the time! This is a great series.

Does look a little PO'ed in the last two pics :).

What a stunningly beautiful bird. But, I like the fourth picture best, where he totally loses his dignity and plunges his whole head in the water.

I love the vines or dead grass hanging over the log and the reflection and his ruffled feathers after he submerged his head. Love this! :)

Your photos are amazing. Great shots of a bird that isn't in my backyard here in Indiana!

That egret is a big bird, isn't it" ? Do they get spooked when you are around or are you crawling through the bushes so they don't see you? Amazing shots.

I love the reflection in the water.

Oh goodness. I think I would be much thinner if I had to plunge my head into the water every time I wanted to eat. I love that photo...even though it makes me a little uncomfortable. =)

They are gorgeous birds indeed. We saw many in Ding Darling NWR Florida last winter and yesterday I saw six in a local pond here in Minn. Thought perhaps they were returning our visit! :)

Boy -- I hate when that happens. Oops, I mean I dislike that when that happens. (I hope Di isn't reading this...)
