Love in blue

The male bluebird keeping a close eye on things.
The object of his attention and affection.
Keeping an eye on him...
...and on me.

MY FAVORITE of all birds. How on earth do you get them to move into the bird house? I have had a house for them, and I am still waiting. They are so shy. How did you manage your photo? We have the Western Blue Birds here...

Our Western Bluebirds don't have the red breast....and I just realized that I haven't seen one for a couple of years. People used to put up nesting houses for them out in the country.

Another pretty bird pic T. I'm convinced that you really aren't "working" in that "office" of yours. It's really just a place to photograph birds, huh? (:

I am still waiting for a pair to take up residence in the brand new house I supplied for them. Maybe they are waiting for the newness to go away.

I've never seen ducks like the ones in your previous post--How cool are they? I also enjoy bluebirds--But don't see them nearly as much as I'd like! :-)

What a sweet couple, and before you know it that nest is filled with little chirps. Then they will have their work cut out for them.

Great shots of the Bluebirds at the old bluebird house! The birds that carry the sky on their backs are my favorite birds. I monitor three bluebird trails in Shasta County and "my blues" produce several youngins every season.

I've never seen a nest box quite like that one though. It must not rain there in the summer?
