The tiny ones are back!

I was pleased to see at least one pair of ruby-throated hummingbirds show up and stay at our place last week.

I adore their little chittering as they zoom past from tree to feeder and back again.

Great pictures once again! I love those little hummers!
To answer your question about my pictures... the flower with my hand is a Hardy Hibiscus. The white star shaped one is a Moon Flower and the light pinkish-white one is another Hardy Hibiscus.

Hi Texwisgirl, It won't be very long before we start seeing the Ruby Throated Hummingbirds here. I need to buy a new Hummingbird feeder since the one I had broke at the base. Have a super nice day today!

We have a hummingbird feeder that attaches to a greenhouse type of kitchen window we have. The hummers are within just a couple of feet of us and do not mind two humans gawking at them. I am still really liking how this new lens is working for you. Great shots!

Great shots! We have quite a few hummingbirds around our feeders but I see mostly females. I know we have at least one male but I don't see him too often! This morning I went to tip the feeder to get the air bubbles out and one flew to the feeder and took a long drink while I was standing there. It was SO cool to see them so close!

Aren't they so cute! I got to hold one in my hand one time! It hit the patio door at work and knocked itself out. I got it and held it a minute while my boss found a shoebox and we put it in it...it came to itself before lunch was over and I took it out and let it go.

None here yet -- I'm afraid to put out the feeders. I don't want them to freeze. :)
