Such a handsome couple, too.

I noticed she's leading -- he must be henpecked. ;)

Yes, yes, yes, I got so excited to see your Wood Ducks. They remain my favorites to watch by the cabin where we have Wood Duck houses along the creek for them in hopes of their staying. They are ravenous corn feeders. Love their reflexions.

Oh, how pretty. We have some ducks, but I'm not sure what kind they are.

But this morning, I just noticed our Canadian geese have 5 goslings! I'm so excited, but worried that these will meet the same fate as the ones a couple of years ago. We don't know what, but they all disappeared within a few days. So sad.

What a beautiful pair. She's leading the way because he refuses to stop for directions.

Hi Tex, Thought about you last night when I watched evening news. (By the way, did you know definition of Evening News? It’s where they start the program with Good Evening and then spend the rest of the time explaining why it’s not.) They were talking about the wildfires in Texas. Looks to me like most of them are to the west of your location. Anyway, hope you stay safe and the fires keep away from the ranch. Enjoyed your last few posts here, especially the hummingbirds. Hummers are some of my favorites. I still can’t figure how these tiny birds can fly thousands of miles to winter grounds and not get lost. Thanks for sharing the ranch with us. John

How much would a wood duck duck, if a wood duck could duck wood?
