Your title was so right as these birds are so beautifully colorful. Also, I had never seen a male painted bunting and wish some would visit our feeders here on the VA eastern shore.

I just love my cardinals. I'm very envious of your painted bunting...it's gorgeous. Once in awhile I get an indigo bunting at the feeder and I get so excited!

Beautiful painted bunting! I'm trying not to be jealous. I've never had one in my yard that I know of. So, so pretty.

Oh I am filled with envy....most of my birds are sparrows and doves....the most colorful one is the little yellow finch.

Like some of the other commenters here, I am waiting for the day to see my first painted bunting. I'll not count on getting a good picture of him as you have here. Oh, and I'll take a cardinal sighting too while we're at it.

I so miss cardinals and blue jays. But the magpies and blue birds help make up for them.

Wood ducks are so beautiful...
Great shots

You are killing me with your B E A U T I F U L photos of birds on your property!! The Bunting is just as stunning as can be. Never seen a cardnial in life. Stricking! Did you make a blind to get the cardinal photos, and wait for hours like I usually have to do for birds? I can see you have the bunting out your window or porch? VERY VERY nice post here. I am loving it...

The first picture of the cardinal is so beautiful. John's sister knows I love cardinals so she finds a pretty Christmas card for me each year without writing on the front. I buy little gold frames at the dollar store and frame them.

Just returned from a trip to Wis, where my mother's feeders have swarms of cardinals. So jealous. And your painted bunting is glorious, too! Well, all of your birds.
