Hi Texwisgirl, I like seeing squirrels in person and on people's blogs so your posts are welcomed. Funny squirrels. So sorry your squirrels have joined the "Lets eat bird seed out of the bird feeder" club. Mine are champs! Have a great day today!

For the love of Pete...have you been feeding the tree rats Viagra? :-)

The "S" squirrel looks like he's imitating a cobra. And I like the third shot up from the bottom - that tail is completely flat on the back.

Great shots! I still can't believe those guys can FIT into that feeder!

I'm not tired of them, they are such entertaining acrobats :)

I thought it was only us Brits who called Potatoes spuds! It looks very filling! Tasty though.

I wouldn't miss that daily commute one bit, I don't like built up areas. Give me the countryside any day :)

Sweet little Cowbird! But an even sweeter Thelma Jean, what a darling, darling girl she is.

oooh, I reached squirrel overload MONTHS ago... they empty my feeders DAILY!!!!.... UGH!!!!... and I don't have the heart to shoot them. I've had offers, can't bring myself to let anyone do it!

Bright-eyed, bushy tailed and cute as all getouts! Who has more squirrels, you or me?

EG Wow said...

You've gotta love squirrels...at least just a little. They have so much character. :)

dogsmom said...

As much as they can be a nuisance, they are so darn cute they get away with it.

We were laughing at the squirrels this weekend. They seem to be on hyper overdrive over here right now. We had a dozen of the little rascals right in the front yard by the porch playing the biggest game of tag yesterday morning. It was a hoot.

I also think that squirrels are cute and enjoy seeing pictures of them, but I didn't think that a few years ago when the whole Skippy Squirrel family was living in my attic....

I love how he looks when his little hands are up to his mouth. Sweet!

How cute this little creature is! I will be never tired of looking at it holding and eating food. Very adorable shots!
Have a nice day!

You must have a name for him by now. We are getting very acquainted.

Mildred said...

I have noticed that we follow many of the same blogs and I wanted to drop by and say "hi." We had lots of squirrels at our last yard which was wooded and secluded. Now we are in a subdivision with hardly any trees and we don't have the little acrobats!!! Your photos are very cute. Hope you'll visit me soon.

LB @ Bullets And Biscuits said...

They do have crazy tails...

Sharon Lovejoy said...

Ah heck, they're so darned cute...yah, I KNOW they eat everything in the feeders, but they're so great to watch. AND, they plant forests for us...think of all the little squirrel planted acorns that have turned into big oak trees.

Thanks for this...it made me happy.

The wonderdogs caught on Friday.
Scared me half to death.
They finally let it go, and it scampered up the tree. I hope it's okay, but I sort of wish they'd leave our neighborhood.

They're very destructive.

Farm Girl said...

I just love looking at their tiny hands. I enjoy seeing them scamper too.

I can never get tired of them. Specially through such great close ups.

PS - Thank you, T, for the explanation about the "shorty" green heron. You know your birds, don't you? I admire that tons!

I think the squirrel in our yard found a friend. (Did I mention this already?) He was solitary all winter so happy to see him frolic with a frisky friend.

As long as they're in your yard No. In front of my trail cameras YES ;).

P R E T T Y C O L O R on that there squirrel! What a rascal. They will eat and eat, and make us frustrated, but they are cute. Our are grey, and just as reckless.

forgetmenot said...

Yep, that was a lot of "squirrel" to look at!!! Cute as he is, I do get annoyed seeing them sitting on the birdfeeders every morning enjoying all the birdseed I put out for THE BIRDS!! Oh well, maybe I should just convert them to squirrel feeders and be done with it. Mickie :)

Michelle said...

I'm still cracking up at heyBJK's comment. Oh my...need to breathe.

Great shots. I love the one where it went through the hole in the feeder. And the last one where he's praying upside down is really cute, too. :)

Hi there - what a great set of pictures - squirrel overload? Never!

I'm not sure how many people call their kids "small people" - but I have become rather attached to the phrase - even if the smalls are not as small as they once were!

But I say "small people" you say "varmints" - I think I could interchange those words.

Your squirrels are a different color. Your's are a richer brown than our's and that is especially noticeable in each photo so I know it isn't in the processing. Ours are called Eastern Gray Squirrels and they are mostly shades of gray with a little reddish color around the face and on the lower legs.

Shrinky said...

Awwwwwwwwwwww, I could never get too much of these! Red Squirrels are becoming endangered in the UK because of their bigger cousins, the grey squirrels, taking over their habitat. I do miss seeing ANY squirrel now, this little island doesn't have any.. (pout)
