That's a very pretty birdbath, and I am betting that it will get plenty of use. I like the idea of putting a rock in the middle of it, so the birds can perch there, too.

Great shots, I am sure the birds enjoy a drink and the new birdbath.

The cowbird is very nice. I like the birdbath too. It looks to be a lot lighter in weight than the one we got from our giveaway daughter. It weighs a ton.

Very cute. I love the decoys and have one on an old bird bath too. It's fun to watch the cats the first time they see the decoys, too. It doesn't take long for them to figure out they wouldn't be tasty. :)

It's very lovely. I would like a new drinking bowl like that! Or maybe filled with peanuts!

Cute. It's about time you featured a cowbird!

Hi Texwisgirl, Glad to see such a nice birdbath. The birds will love it during the coming hotter days. Glad you put a big rock for the birds to sit on if needed. Have a super nice day tomorrow.

I think your house must be popular in the bird world.

I really try to see the beaty in cowbirds, and you've certainly shown it...I was reading the other day that the females can lay 40 eggs per season, and can lay almost daily through the breeding season--That's a lot of baby birds, isn't it?

Frankie brought a bird bath home with her from Mom's! Now, once she decides where it's going, all I have to do is put it together, keep it filled and take many, many pictures of it...and there will probably be cowbirds in some of them, too.

This is one of those series that I absolutely adore. Everything about your captures here is perfect. They are drop dead gorgeous, and the little birdies are so dear and precious, AWESOME!!! Now, you have me thinking I should have at least taken the scroll piece off of that old sewing machine for its beauty, The rest of it was in such state it could never have been fixed. At least I have my photo. Genie

Awesome shots...I've never seen a cowbird!

OH, OH, OH! I was trying to figure out how to rig a bath for the birdies and your stone gave me an idea! I can put a pan out on the rail and stick something heavy "in" it, to keep the wind etc from blowing it off! Thanks so much! I wanted a place for them, but our yard can't support anything more to mow around! (If I want to live)
We have a lot of cow birds around here, they are pretty in the sunshine!

Pretty bird bath. I just filled mine a while ago and you reminded me to put a rock back in it. I don't know what happened to the one I had.

Love the bath! My cowbirds are such big bullies at the feeders but they sure do love to wash up!

Always nice to see birds at the birdbath. There's something about these northern birds...they just don't get the hang of it. I've never seen one use it to bathe. But they sure use it for a quick drink.

Sandra said...
