Crow says "What you got? Is it good to eat?"

I guess you could have had a war on your hands. I wonder who would have won?

It really does look as if the squirrel is relieving himself! LOL!

Maybe the squirrel and the crow are friends and just putting on a show for you! :-)

Seriously, are crows a threat to the small squirrels? In that last picture, the squirrel does seem to be ducking. We rarely see them with their ears back. Peace on earth kids!

I think the squirrel's reaching for the pistol in his sock and telling the crow to go ahead and make his day.

Ok, what is the deep meaning of a crow and a squirrel being side by side? There has to be some sort of farmers almanac thing about that. Ha Ha!

I have been at my place for 6 years and never really seen a crow until just a few weeks ago...now I have 3 that won't leave, not sure if they are good or bad. I had to put an owl up to scare off a woodpecker (so far so good on that front)...do I need to put a scare crow up now!

little unsociable aren't we. the crow just wanted to invited to dinner!

Never seen a squirrel raise his leg like that on a tree....to pee. ha ha Well, it "looks" like that anyway. Funny.

Great images! The last time I saw an animal in that position, it was my Labrador Retriever. :)

I have to laugh at all of those thinking that squirrel was peeing on the tree. My take is that he was going through the "Should I climb? Should I run? Should I climb? Should I run?" It's such a squirrel thing to be undecided about which way to go.

forestwalk/laura k said...

yep, i was just about to say what Lois said...at first glance...yeah, the squirrel's taking a leak...marking his territory...THEN i think...squirrel's don't do that!! ok, he just can't decide...UP or DOWN? then that look on his face...his telling the crow "it's either you or me kid"...BUT he doesn't look too sure of himself!

those crows can be pretty aggressive...as a group...what is that? a gaggle? oh no, that's geese...anyway...a BUNCH of crows chased an owl pair away from here!!

love your pictures!

Fun series! Looks like they are dancing. ;)

That last picture of the squirrel...I just want to grab it and hold it! We passed a young one the other day, and I so wish I could have had it...even just to have it coming to the yard to watch. Which would not work out with my cats...always wish animals were all herbivores.

Beaut shots - loved the squirrel's reaction.

Mr. Crow better watch his six - he doesn't know who he's messing with. Ninja tree rat will bring the pain! Well, next time.

So they don't actually EAT one another, do they?
