A few more of the male Painted Bunting

"Coz every girl's crazy 'bout a sharp dressed man!"

By the way, he's in a dry birdbath that I'm now using for bird seed.

He would get along with the Rainbow Lorikeets who call our yard home.
We have two very noisy ones who come onto the verandah in the morning wanting seed for their breakfast.
Naturally I've christened them Mr & Mrs Bossy.

Your fellow looks too dapper to be a sqwauker!

Another unbelieavably fantastic picture for a desktop background!! How fantastic, my friend.

We have the blue buntings around here, but one bird with all these colours I have only seen back in the country. The huge "Araras" which Americans call "Parrots", you know what I am talking about?

What a treat for you, T. What a treat!

Love ya.

Hi there - when I first saw these birds they were in a kids colouring book a friend of mine from the US had sent to me - I did not think they were for real!

Once I found out that they were not some form of joke I added them to my must see list - nothing’s changed! Splendid shots.
