A little of this; a little of that...

 A male cardinal

 Ever-present 'tree rats'

Bathing bluejay
 A sipping titmouse

A crow on a stick
A green heron
and a Great Blue Heron.

Aren't you glad I threw all these into one post rather than stringing them out into 4 or 5 posts?!  I know I'm a prolific poster...

(Happy Dad's Day to all of the fathers out there!)

That's one wet Blue Jay! You have the most wonderful collection of birds and critters at your house. I enjoy seeing them all, whether in one post, or in several spaced over the day. Keep it up, lady!

I'm really enjoying your blog a lot. I like seeing the wide variety of birds you seem to have where you live. I can never get close to a Great Blue Heron. We have them here, but they're very spooky.

I couldn't help but burst out laughing at the crow on a stick. At our State Fair, we are known for all of the foods on a stick we can think of: pork chop on a stick, fried snickers on a stick, pickle on a stick, etc. That crow would fit right it! ha!

I like it that you post often; it feels like we are included on your daily walks to the pond.

Love that noisy crow, balancing!

We can match you on every critter except for the cardinal and I am now happy to say, 'tree rat'. Gee, I can look at the squirrel pictures now with a smile on my face instead of contempt. I must be a recovered squirrel watcher.

Wow these are some great bird shots. I've been trying to get a few around here but I just don't have the patience. I've thought about adding a bird feeder but the tree rats are the very reason I don't. I've heard they eat all the bird seed. Hope you have a great week!

Lovely, beautiful as usual. I just have to ask you some questions and if it's none of my business, just tell me, it's none of my business. I'm always curious about photography. Before digital I had one of the neatest darkrooms and loved my black and white from my Leica cameras. But than along came digital and kinda shaky hands so I removed my photo sink and now have a spare bedroom. But I still love to talk cameras. What kind of camera do you use and I imagine those are all zoom. Do you have to sit quietly and wait for the right shot? Have you always liked photography and did you do it before digital? I will be satisfied with my little "Sony cybershot" because when I turned 80, I noticed my hands were getting a little shaky. I'm glad I wasn't a surgeon. Ha.Thank you for all the lovely pictures you post.

Love it! The squirrel through the feeder and the bluejay with the tail in the water are darling. We have a picture of Erik when he was a puppy sound asleep with his ear in his water bowl.

BTW, My Honey asked me to tell you he is swamped at the office and doesn't have time to wait for the connection to comment today. We have lots of people on board for meetings. He has stopped in here, though. :)

Hugs from Port Canaveral,
Lois
