Great photos
I've seen these but never realy understood if they are butterflys or moths. I've never see more than one at a time. Where we live I fear the mosquito spraying and the like devistates many beautiful species of bugs.

Love that "play"!

The eyes on the upper wings really DO look like Buck's Eyes, so we know where they got their name.
Beautiful series

You out-did yourself on this. Well probably out-did most people. Catching butterflies in flight. That is great!

I hate to say it, but I think I like the field of flowers the best! (That will be our little secret.)

T, great in flight shots. I do like butterflies. We don't get many around here. Mostly the cabbage whites. Your Buckeyes are very pretty!

The Beauty of Butterflies!
My favorite spot where I shot so many photos of beautiful butterflies last year has been destroyed. Someone cleaned the fence row and the flowers did not come back. :o(

These butterflies are beautiful. The same eyes on the wing as the peacock on the feather.

We got one butterfly that we called "peacock eye" here at home.

Answer: Not everything is good with the rain. Midsummer day, 20 june, here at home we got a lot of rain flashlights and thunder so the house shelved. Right after that the electricity was gone. The electricity didn't come back until late evening.
