It is really neat how so many different birds can share one feeder, might be a lesson in there:@)
For an Aussie gal for whom these are new birdies, could you tell me what they are please?x Felicity
Really sweet shots! :)Female cardinals are so beautiful.
If only friends came that easy..
so pretty and they are "just a swinging"
"Why can't we all just get along?" :) But I've had that thought about different birds at one feeder. Then the gold finches start chasing each other off their thistle feeder, or the grackles come in and rule for as long as they want. Felicity, female cardinal and male purple finch (unless he's a house finch, but I'm betting on purple here--more color).
Aw! Perfectly precious.
I've seen you photograph this feeder before, I think I'm going to try to make one because it provides better opportunities for photos. We get mommy cardinals and red finches all the time, but rarely sitting together. Cardinals do not stick around very long :-(
Lovely critters.. so sweet.
A pair of beautiful redheads! What a joy to observe them dining together. Lovely!
Wonderful shots of such pretty birds!
I second Lisa's comment!
Cardinals n house wrens are very common here in my yard this year. I am really enjoying them. These are great shots...love the bokeh!
Oh I love their colours. B
What a pretty pair and it looks like they posed just for you.
I LOVE that birdfeeder... so simple & easy & yet effective! Great shots!I wish God would get rid of the 'blowtorch' for Heaven's sake... I don't like the heat!!! =0
Such beautiful birds! She is quite large next to the little fella.
I like to see the various birds communing at the feeder! The Jay, however, doesn't tolerate anyone else trying to "share the table".
Beautiful birdies. They have the same color scheme going there.
Hey, these are the same guys showing up at my house ... Gluttons!
Birds of a colour flock together! Sweet shots Teresa!
What a great capture of two lovely birds. :)
Beautiful birds and delightful, soothing shots! Color combination of red and dark gray is stylish and elegant. I will be never tired of viewing them. Are they are a couple? Thank you for sharing. Have a great week!
I need a feeder like this. I like the way it is so open to view the birds. Great crisp, clear shots!
I was outside yesterday evening and a gorgeous cardinal came hopping up by the front porch. was wishing I had the camera. love the bird feeders by the way!
I used to think the female cardinal was rather dull and boring, but after observing for the past 2 summers I think she's beautiful. I love the way she and the finch are sharing so peacefully at the feeder.
We have a whole herd of finches - purple, gold and house. How about a trade? I give you...what...say two dozen for a pair of cardinals? Deal?
I just love your Swanging feeder. You just might be winning "paint don't paint". The birds on the electric line might not be a good idea. I'm trying to save the feathers. One zap and dem birds will have no feathers.I'm still having problems with google smoogle.
All are friends as long as there is plenty of food in the feeder.
oh they are lovely!
Cor, you've got it on one of your feeders, lovely birds, beautiful pictures.
Always love your birds! Great shots as always! Enjoy your day!Sylvia
NIce shots of these lovely birds sharing that great-looking feeder!
Gosh I got behind with all of your lovely photographs. I love the picture of the grain. That squirrel looks like he has decided that you need to move, since it is his house now. :) I love the look on his face. Your barn swallows look so nice. Do you pull up a chair and just watch? I really like the picture of your birds that are friends. It all looks so nice. Those clouds on the stormy day, they really did look awesome. Were you looking around for a tornado?
They even dressed the same!! cute
What a beautiful pair. They have dressed nicely.
I enjoy seeing so many different types of birds on the feeders and bird bath at the same time! What kind of birds are those in the top photo? They are beautiful!
Such pretty sharp red beaks!
Really great photos!! Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.
They are like two people stopping for a cup of coffe, at a fast food place, before going to work. The pictures are great - so clear and smooth!'xxxxxxx
Love these photos!Their colors are so similar! Wow!
Great capture of the House Fnch and Cardinals. The finch is a pretty red.
These guys are great. What a nice feeder also.
beautiful pair! they must've called each other to coordinate outfits.
