Great set you certainly made the most of it.
Your wonderful pics put a smile on my face! That droplet of water on his tail is amazing!
wow, GREAT shots. i loved his "hair" after his bath!
ADORABLE!! Oh my goodness, made my day. I cannot keep my bird bath water clean! He knew a good thing when he saw it.
The fourth photo (after "face plant"LOL) is amazing with all the water droplets!! Nice capture!
Love these! You captured some pretty awesome shots of him!
Nothing like a swim on a hot day; I bet this boy will be back for more!
Great captures! Such a colourful... and wet... :) little bird. That little Cardinal looks like it has had its claws in the plug socket too, with that hairdo :)
Cute birdie. I don't always think these jays are cute. I just got back from the W-mart with a new blender. They have lowered the price to $17! =D
They really are a pretty (er... handsome) bird:@)
Oh wow T...I absolutely love it!
beautiful...my girls are giggling as they look at each pic
Boy, he puffed right up, didn't he?Awesome!Beautiful shots!
These are just wonderful...not an overload at all.
Beautiful images of your lovely Jay...keep sharing
T, great sequence of shots! I love watching birds in the bath! They all seem to enjoy it so much!
Wonderful. All nice & clean now.
Love the bluejay pictures! As hot as it is here, I am sure it was very refreshing! I am looking for a break in this hot streak, what am I thinking...it is Texas after all! I read more of your blog and I just love your house and surrounding land, just beautiful!Stay cool! Pray for rain!
So cute, I never see the birds in my birdbaths, they must be shy. He sure looked rather ruffled but clean, thanks!
What a fantastic series!
You need to set up a blow-dry feature for the birds next.
Awesome photos and he is definitely too darn cute.Sandy
all the words i want to say have been used in the other comments.... soooo he is just so darn cute and sweet and precious i am at a loss for words. these are realy reallly good
His 'do" reminds me of mine after I use that Paul Mitchell "glue"...:)JP
These are fantastic shots!
LOL! It looks like he stuck his beak in an electric socket!Great close-up's, T! Next time give the bird some privacy, eh?
I like a man who's not afraid to get a little messy. Bet he felt a lot better for that dip in the water.
Great behavior series. These do make a mean ole blue jay look cute.
Those are priceless shots!! I love the messy one! Hope your day is going well! Enjoy!Sylvia
When something's good, you just gotta keep clicking! I loved them all! :)
Just amazing photos - as usual!I agree - love the one with the water droplet on his tail!
What a great sequence of bath time photos. Love them!
I love it! I've never seen any birds up close like that taking a bath. I thought the water just rolled off them. Now I know better! lol Those are some great pictures!Have a Great Day!Angela
Fabulous series of this bathing beauty! LOVED it.
Looks like the handsome fellow is having a blast splishin' and splashin'. Awesome images of bath time! I had a big smile on my face while viewing all of your splendid photographs. Fun!
Oh these are just perfect! LOVED it!
I need YOU to come to The Glen and photograph our Hummingbirds! WHAT amazing shots!
Ahhhh, that must feel so good on a hot day. :)
Those are some great shots! He was thoroughly enjoying that little dip! I like his fluffing up antics and his purty hairdo!
Wonderful photos, and a beautiful bird xxxxxxx
Overload? No way. Those are adorable pictures. I could watch all day -- couldn't be too many pix.
He says " awwww I feel much better now"
Wykąpał się i czuje się świetnie ten cudowny ptaszek na cudownych zdjęciach. Pozdrawiam serdecznie
PRICEless photos!! Thanks for letting us share in Mr. Blue Jay's bathtime. I feel quite refreshed, just for having watched him(!) LOLNOT an overload at all. I would hate to have missed a single shot!!
Wowee! You had me hooked at the first photo. Those feathers! That personality!Obviously we don't have these gorgeous feathered friends in Australia - truly a delight.Thank you for sharing!xx Felicity
I like his grizzled look. I'm wondering, how long did it take him to complete his bath?
Good shots all. I seldom see them in the birdbath here. Probably because the starlings are always in it. One bird's bugs are bad news for some other birds, I guess.
Gosh Tex, those are pheonomenal photos..seriously, I love the one with him dipping his tail in ever so careful! What a hoot!
OMG. I love this post!!!I rarely use exclamation points, so this is proof of how much I like.
Those are just funny...Great Pics!
ooooohhhhh these are awesome. see him checking himself out in #1 & #2.my blue jay's never hop in the bird bath, they only use it for drinking!!!!
I love your bird photos, and now the bathing birds to boot! The head feathers look like a crown of feathers as if to say "look at me I am squeeky clean". That must of been fun squeezing out all those water photos! You have not seen the Western Scrub Jays where I live, nor have I seen your Steller Jay. Should we trade?
This series is absolutely wonderful!!It makes me smile!! :-)
Those are great pictures!!! Everyone of them made me want to laugh out loud.
Love the puffed up shots!
I LOVE this post!! Thank you--what a perfect one to come back to-finally have my computer back!! Yay!!!!!!~~Rain
I kept expecting to see him shaking the water off like our lunatic mutt!Still waiting for THE BOSS to decide where I should assemble her new bird bath.
Beautiful photos...this little fellow was having a great time wasn't he? Enjoyed.shug
Awesome photography! One of my favorite birds, they bring so much personality to the backyard.
Love the fluff dry!
That is so darn cute! I'd love to see that - great photos!
Splish splash.. I was taking a bath...Costas
Oh my gosh.. These are wonderful.. I am still smiling.. I am going to have to show these shots to my hubby.. Thanks for sharing them with us.. Hugs, Linda
What a great series of photos! I like the "roadrunner" shot!
Truly amazing shots, Theresa! I'm thinking... National Geographic submission? Or maybe a wildlife calendar?
I REALLY need a new bird bath! I need to let my babies play in the water! You take wonderful photographs. That baby is just beautiful!Joey
That is just too cute. He did a really great roadrunner imitation in that one shot.
Hi there - what a really splendid set of pictures - like the Road Runner one the best! Thanks for visiting both of my blogs - as you may be able to tell the longer, wordy one takes a bit of work and its really great to find out that people read it (!) and that they think its of some value.Cheers - Stewart M.
Great photos Tex! Jays used to not be on my favorites list for birds until the day one shouted out the warning for an incoming hawk and saved our little birdies at the feeder. Now I embrace them and I haven't looked back even if they occasionally "cry wolf, ummm hawk" just to clear the feeders so they can hoover down at the birdie buffet! You in trouble with my Hubby since I told him your sweet Hubby gifted with that 500. And I just bought the new 50. Does it ever stop?
Get that boy a brush! Great pics!
splish splash I was taking a bath....great photos...
Great job catching it on photos! Super! Blessings from Wisconsin.
Great captures. Looks like my grandkids taking a bath. Did you get wet?
Ooooh... this time you got me to my knees, T. WOW!!! Fantastic, amazing series of pictures. There are details in each and every one of them - I cannot mention them all - that are just perfect!!!Oh, my! I am going to look again.xxxxxxxxxx
One of your best posts ever!!!!
Now he's sparkling clena! Great pictures, dearie!
GREAT series of photos TWG. He's having a blast. Now cool as a cucumber. Thanks for showing him off.
i don't know why i find wet birds so comical...
Hahaha! I love seeing Blue all splashed up, and Red in the previous post looks great!
He looks like he dropped the blow dryer in the tub him and got his butt electrocuted hahahahSeriously though, those are awesome shots. Way cool.
I love watching the Blue Jays, they have so much spunk to them...I don't even care they eat up so many of the pears...but these photos are pure poetry...I am going back to look again.Blessings Kelsie
I love this series of photos! Now, that's one clean blue jay.
Postively captivating - so many photos, and I kept scrolling ... loving each one. Thank you :D)
Beautiful shots...I really enjoyed the ruffled look of the pretty blue jay. I am impressed with how much action your bird bath gets (and maybe a tad bit jealous). :)
I wish I were this cute when I got out of the shower.
