I think I'll head out & take a few shots of the barn here in the Hollow. I don't think I'll have one in CT...:)JP

It's a wonderful barn, full of character. Do you know what kind of critters live there? Or, am I being dumb and it's your barn?

Tammy said...

Love the rust and gold tones, but I especially love the barbed wire fence in the first shot

Looks ike a lovely place to just go and hide in with a favourite book... The woods behind look wonderful...

ooooohhhhh t, that's a real charmer, getting a big hug from the landscape!!!!

i'm glad you included both, LOVE them!!

Oh, yes, I do agree with Debbie. I would want to see the close up too! These are great fotos! The lush of the forest behind it calls my attention - inspite of all the heat, it seems green and healthy.

Keep cool, my dear. It is 105 degrees in the shade here... ouch!

Love ya!

Someone kept it up compared to the old barns around here except the rusty roof that gives it the charm.

awesome barn...I love barns

I love that first shot with the dark sky and the fence!

I like the sense of perspective in the first one.

I had a brilliant idea to photograph all the barns within, say, 5 miles of my home and I quickly realized that there are about a bazillion (give or take a couple of million), so I gave up. Maybe I need to reduce the scope :-)

Good one!

cool old barn, but that roof has too much rust to be from texas, it must of been imported from a cold wet state

Ahhhhhhhh, pure balsm for the soul - you truly do live in an enchanting place - all those big, wide skies, and expansive, lush horizons - oh, and gorgeous barns, too!

Stewart M said...

Hi there - very good pictures - I think I like the second one best - seems to have more depth about it - says something about the scale of the land around it (I think!)

Also - great owl shots on the last post.

Is it in that barn were the guy with the "Hubble Telescope" is hiding? :)

Roan said...

There is another one of those fences I wish I could find up here. Daughter is going back to Dallas for a Kid Rock concert over Labor Day weekend. I've promised to go this time, but it will be too late for fences by then. Fence shot will be due in mid August. I really like the tall grass and the barn in the distance. Nice shot!

EG Wow said...

MUst be a large ranch with tons of acres of all around the barn. :)
