Hodgepodge bird shots

These were not the clearest of shots, but there was something 'artsy' about them, so I cropped them up, toyed with the exposure a bit and pushed them all into one post.

Oh good am I first to comment. Love these shots - looks like they are playing ring a ring of roses and dancing in a circle. Lovely wee birds.

Poor cardinals. Looks like all our attention is on the bunting.

They are all fun shots. Love the one coming in for a landing, and the buntings of course. We just don't have a colorful bird like them around here.

Such colorful birds you have to watch! We have cardinals, but that's about all the red we get in our yard. :-(

Very colorful and I enjoy the bunting but also love cardinals. We have a family of cardinals here and in the winter they look so nice against the snow.

Your captures are so colorful~~~I've been looking for good coloration of the cardinals...will eventually show you why.
Love these

For all of us living afar -- what species are they? We don't have those here. Very pretty.

Love the bird shots! On my hikes it's very difficult to get good bird picutres. They always flit away before I can get focused!

Great shots, T. I love watching them as they eat and all the interaction that occurs. Can't help watching at my place, all right outside my window! When my blue jays come, everyone leaves!

You're so lucky to have such a variety of birds. You almost got a full shot of the one landing in the second photo.

They are very artsy, and, very entertaining. I see your cardinals can be as angry looking as mine. But, don't all of the birds bring so much joy?

Cardinals and Sparrows are my back yard birds, also. Your bird series is just great.

You know I love those painted buntings...and there is something about these shots....I think they look real maybe? It is almost as if you were visiting a bird town and just snapping pictures here and there.

Love the colorful " hodgepodge". The painted bunting's colors are so brilliant against the terrain.

I think they are having some kind of hen party!

I'm finally getting a chance to comment! I look at a lot of your posts on my iPhone, but it's not very easy to comment that way, so I usually wait for more time at the computer.

So glad you shared all these shots -- It's just like standing in your yard enjoying watching the birds hop around and hunt bugs!

We don't have buntings, so I especially enjoy seeing their beautiful colors. The buntings and cardinals really stand out against the dry and brownish landscape!
