Morning light

and pondside grazing (on their side of the fence, thank you!)

Love his well-defined cheek muscles
and his strong neck.
Good thing he's a pretty boy...

You need to saddle 'em up and trot 'em around a little---you know---show 'em who's boss.

So pretty! Your place is remarkably green for the lack of rain you have had.

Morning light makes for some really good shots. Of course, the subjects in these help a lot. Yes, he is a pretty boy. Rotten, but pretty.

that is exactly what we say to Baby, its a good thing you are pretty.. because behaving well is not in her vocabulary. your horses are beautiful. i see you found the rain gauge, i laughed so hard when i saw that.

Is it morning already? I have to check through all the windows at the end of the house, and maybe I can see the horses. They're both pretty - hey!

As much as I hate morning, it is fabulous for shots like these.

I thought of you and your horses yesterday when I was driving home from the dentist. I was taking a backroad and saw two horses frolicing in the bushes...one light and one dark. =D

Just beautiful! Your horses are gorgeous.

Your neighbors sure are beautiful to look at. Lucky for you they can't talk just whiny once in a while.

I'll send some rain your way if ya what.. with no wind right!

Gorgeous, as always!

I got inspired and set up a blog site just for my photography. I would appreciate it if you would check it out and let me know what you think when you have time.

One of the things that has always impressed me about horses is their capacity for serenity ---- usually best found 30 seconds before they turn into nattering idiots because something has spooked them.

lovely light. beautiful horses

They're simply beautiful animals. I used to own a horse or two in my hay day. No more though.

A beautiful series. I especially like the back lighting that produces fine highlights on the horses backs and occasionally a tail. They look so healthy and in excellent shape.

I'm surprised that they can find something to munch on after how many weeks? with no rain. those views would be a wonderful sight to see first thing in the morning. how could anyone have a bad day after waking up to that? happy Tuesday to you TWG.

You know, I love horses but have to admit to being afraid of them.

But your pictures have a look of fall to them. I guess with the lack of rain that is going to come early for you, isn't it?

the Provident Woman said...

I would love to wake up with those kind of views. I suddenly want a horse.

Beautiful shots...especially the last one! And the lighting in the second capture is fabulous. It looks like you won the war with Zim (at least for now). He's such a pretty boy. I hope he continues to behave himself. :)

Beautiful early-morning shots ~~~ What a way to start the day! The early light and softness of the grass are a great contrast to the strength and sturdiness of the horses.
