they are just lovely! How fortunate to have them at your feeders! Most of our birds are shades of brown and black, but I love them all. One year I caught a brief glance of a western tanager. He was absolutly a feast for the eyes. Havn't seen one since. He must have been traveling through. And last night we spotted a pair of Downy Woodpeckers in the tree out front. Not sure where they came from or how they escaped our notice if they live here, considering we have all of about 15 trees in a 20 mile radius! Hope they stick around though!

Okay, I've been here half the morning and left a few other comments. I love your photos and envy your camera and all the attachments.

I had a Bunting show up once to my DFW area home. Most of the time it was Cardinals and Mourning Dove. I sure do miss my Cardinals! The dove have followed me out here to the desert. Talk about HOT... but it's that "dry" heat. HA!

It's a feathered rainbow! These are such vibrant pictures. Could look at them all day.
Did you get rain? We woke up to gentle sprinkling this morning. Cooler temps but at a price of high horrible headache-producing humidity. Oy.

Your painted buntings are a delight! They are as colourful as our parrots but so much prettier and with their rainbow colours remind me of a child's colouring book.
