Pea Shooter!

1.  Lock
2.  Load
3.  Fire!

Just kidding.  I'm sure that sunflower flying out from behind the blue jay was flung by beak, not fired from...

Hah! Well, if it were any other bird, I'd be sure you would be right. But, a Blue Jay? I wouldn't put it past the stinker.

Photography is fabulous.

Love, love, love the birds. Painted buntings are really lovely.

Like the owls, the pond, the dogs and today,
the "pea shooter" cracked me up!

Mike said...

You're quick on the shutter to capture that projectile. I had a Nat Geo pic similiar to this one. It had a stream instead of a single seed. ;)

Beautiful bird and very clever photos.

Well, I was looking the other direction.(to the left) Made this even funnier.

I dunno about that. On more than one occasion in my storied life I have passed under the business end of one o' those things and the result wasn't funny, at all. Ha.

WooHoo! Hilarious. I've caught a couple birds doing that (firing from behind I mean). One was sitting on a post, and one was flying.

Hi Texwisgirl, I like the Eastern Blue Jays I sometimes host in my own backyard. I had not seen any for several weeks until this morning when one noisy Jay showed up. Have a fantastic day tomorrow and stay cool!
