All Hallow's Eve moon

Okay, so this series was actually shot in September, but I was saving it for today's post.

For those of you that may need a little 'mood music', play the video (for sound only) of a lone Run*A*Round coyote while you scroll down through the moon shots.

Be safe out there, everyone!

Being an Aussie this is a tradition that I've never celebrated but after viewing these incredible images and the eery sound effects it's not difficult to see how the tradition began, particularly the carving of faces into the pumpkins.

Happy eve!

i love hearing the lonesome howling. will listen again. beautiful moon photos, and even spooky while the howling goes on. now i can picture you on your deck snapping away and listening to the howls. our coyote problem is escalating here, with more deaths of small pets, now they are putting up yellow warning signs of coyotes in the area. i feel so bad for the coyotes because they are in town and need to be in the woods.

Is there significance (weather-wise) in a red moon? I don't believe I've ever seen one except long-ago summers when forest fires were all around us. These images are really impressive!
