Friday's Fences

A little laser-cut fence adornment in the area.

And this metal-work looks home-made but I liked it almost better because of it.

I very much love the homemade metal-work!
While not nearly green enough, I'm happy to see a green hue on your fields!

Allison said...

I like the home-made one better, too. Simplicity is always so much better. Cute little cacti!

Both are unique.. I also like homemade.
born between the deep blue sea and rambling countrysides, I'm a simple country gal at heart who loves the sea.

They both look neat to me.

Jill said...

I agree. I live the homemade one better too but both are interesting details.

Sandra said...

I love both of them, we have nothing like these here for sure. you are truly in fence country.

Think I'll go with the homemade one also, because of the clever use of the cacti. What does your fence hold? (still cannot locate my fence foto)

my Dad does metal work...I love it...

Tammy said...

wow, you have the coolest fence details out there!

I love Friday fences. You are right the second one is my favourite too. Funny every time I write favourite it comes out with a line from spell check, I am Canadian that is how we spell it :) B

The personalization makes these fences/gates have much more character than plain ones.

Very cool. Love the character it adds.

good lookin fences, twg! I bet my mom would love them, too, on her fences at the farm =)

Mama-Bug said...

How cool is that! These are great little bits of art on the fence and gate.

I totally love the second fence!

Judy said...

You are right - the home made one looks better, simply because the person making it is involved.

heyBJK said...

I really like the gate! We don't have much in the way of archway entrances. Most horse farms here have some form of brick pillars with wrought iron automatic gates.

Cheryl @ The Farmer's Daughter said...

That's a nifty looking fence. And do I spy some green in the pasture? Have a great weekend!

Jan n Jer said...

These are so creative...very unique! Thanks for playing today!

Daniel said...

How nice and perhaps telling of the owners character, sense of humour, location... and so much more.

Great captures!

Carole M. said...

oh really interesting; especially like the gate!

LB @ Bullets And Biscuits said...

I have a soft spot for the "homemade" look too!Maybe because I have the "homemade" look too...you know, one foot bigger than the other, one shoulder higher that the other. Wait!? I think I just described myself as looking like the Hunchback of Notre Dame. Scratch this whole comment other than the first sentence ;)

Pat Tillett said...

I really like the second example. To me, it looks like art...

Judy said...

Now, I would have two fences just so I could have both.

That second gate is pretty interesting. If it's home-made, that quite a craftsman! Love that blue sky too.

Was just telling a friend yesterday how much I have been enjoying see these fence photos from all over the U.S. and other countries. Tells you so much about a place. Like, even a good Texax cattle ranch needs to be "prettied up"! :-)

Aren't you glad you moved to Texas where everything stings or bites, the coyotes howl, and the gates are unique? I'm sure glad I met you here to view your pretty pictures.
