I'm seriously envious of those chaps! I'm currently working, looking across a wet, cold, windy garden.

If I get reincarnated, I'm requesting that I come back as one of your dogs. Only when I come, you'd better play the turtle game with me.

Lazy weekend, how nice!

Sandra said...

hey there, this looks like they do the same thing I do here. lay around all day and do nothing but roll over once in a while. it's a dogs life. I like the long shot so i can see the "horse seed dish" and the diving pools for squirrels.

Love that picture of the grass on the dog's back. This time of year, Cody comes in the house looking just like that. Really shows up on the black dogs.

we sure can learn a lot from dogs but something tells me this is the "weekday" scene as well!!

they have it made....in the "sun"!!

have a dogs day, too!!

It appears the birds stay away when it is sunbathing time for the hounds. There seems no trust has been established between them yet.

I suppose there's a drawback to being a dog, but I'm not sure what it is.... at least when you're part of a loving family.

Did you get any of that rain yesterday?

Happier Than a Pig in Mud said...

Well now, we gotta find those dogs a job!:@)

That Thelma tells a good joke from the looks of it! You've gotta love a laughing dog. : )

SquirrelQueen said...

Now that's the proper way to relax. It looks like a lot more fun than all the yard work I did this weekend.

Woody said...

Ya know, I wouldn't have to do this if you'd just come over here and scratch my back! This is also an effective strategy to keep the critters away.

I know the Rangers-Tigers gave was postponed because of rain yesterday, hopefully that was good news for you guys.

Linda said...

We or at least I need to watch and learn....what a way to relax!

That says it all!

Oh, it's a dog's life! How delightful! Thanks for stopping by and commenting on my Pacific Beaches post. Glad you at least got a few sprinkles!

Angela said...

Thanks for a good laugh! You've got to love how they are being sneaky about the way they are hunting/stalking the squirrels! lol And I thought only my dogs did that! Mine aren't as sneaky as yours though. Mine are sitting there anxiously waiting for a critter to come to the feeders so they can try to chase them. They aren't fooling the critters though! lol

Those are some great pictures too! You need to frame those! roflol

gowestferalwoman said...

Oh i can just feel the dry dry heat...but why do dogs still lay in the sun? Dexter does the same thing on a hot day!

Texan said...

Had the doors open all day the other day, Kota did this same thing. He planted himself in the front yard. He napped, he rolled, rolled some more napped, then came in looking like your black doggy and promptly shook in the middle of the living room lol.

LOVE it!!
