I might imagine those little critters gobble up a lot too?
First the super-agility and then the super cuteness factor, what will you show us next?
VERY stinking cute!!!!! :)
great shots, our tree rats are going nuts lately
Pesky but cute. I didn't mind a few getting there share of sunflower seeds from the feeders. Until I couldn't keep up.... & counted 17 one spring days. Then I resorted to a firearm and a military intervention. Yes I did.
A ta co znowu kombinuje :-). To drugiego podajnika ta raczej się nie zmieści. Zabawne i śliczne zdjęcia. Pozdrawiam
And she scores a '10' from the Philly judge:@)
your photos of these precious varmints are never JUST another tree rat post. I love them, all of them. he is beyond cute just laying there, clinging to the tree limb... maybe I could write a country song about this guy...
These tree varmints seem like they would be great at gymastics. Great photos of the little piggies.
Cute yes,but also a pain around the bird feeders. I have an agreement with them, leave my bird feeders alone and I will leave the squirrels alone.LOL
Yea, there's something about those eyes that melt your heart.
Awwww...they are cute, even though they pig out on the bird seed!
The acorns are falling at our place and the squirrels are in squirrel heaven storing them up.
how do you keep with with filling the feeders for these guys
Dearest TexWisGirl,That is a cute variety of the squirrel! Love the orange brown coloration on its fur. They for sure are smart for spotting their gourmet food!Love to you,Mariette
They kill me with the hang! How do they do it? Though some mornings I feel like I need that hang too to get these ol' bones moving. Maybe they are onto to something? Nah. I never give 'em credit. NEVER! ;)
Them rascals aggravate me to death. I've had many a feeder destroyed by squirrels. They hang on a tree trunk, just out of reach, and tease Higgins to the point he won't even bother with them, anymore. There's only one way I enjoy them...Fried.
A spoiled rotten life! Love it! I wish we had more fox squirrels here... I love their orange bellies!
Im crazy but i just would want to tickle that furry belly in that first photo. very stinking cute- KAT -
They are quite the little acrobats!! ;) blessings ~ tanna
Haven't seen many squirrels here lately. They must be hibernating for the winter (or the cat ate them all). Yours are very cute.
Sorry... squirrels are not on my cute list...they ate all my pecans off my tree!
Adorable yes! Pests yes! Cute photos...yes!
Yep, stinking cute is right!!!!
It's nice that your tree rats keep you entertained. Ours are ground rats and they aren't entertaining at all as they gobble up all the chicken feed. When I lived in the Bay Area I had some little black squirrels on my property. They were cute. We don't have those here.
I agree, very cute!
Superb! Great photos and so funny:)
They are indeed adorable. I love squirrels and I love how you portray them in you wonderful photos.
Great photos . . . love "the flip!"
We stopped the foolishness with a lid. They come down the bungee cord to the lid and when they try to go over the edge, they can't hang on and fall to the ground.
Great underbelly shots! I think she is cute, too. =D
I figure these critters drive your doggies wild! Bet they get more than they miss! Ah, life on the ranch. Just get rid of those scorpions! Those things are nasty. Margie
So cute! I love to watch them.
LOL! I always laugh at your tree rats!
I have to admit...he has pretty coloring! He is one lucky tree rat to have all that free food!!!
T, you're a talented enough photographer to make ME like tree rats! ;)Very, very cute shots!
It's a squirrel not a rodent. Theresa, it LIVES there.
The flip is my personal favorite, you guru of commentators. Next you'll have them doing a fashion show on the runway. Love it.
Ok, 1st of all, the 'tree varmint' made me laugh out loud... perfect name for them, too, btw!2nd of all, they really are stinkin cute! LoL!They'll just do anything to get into the food... I like the shots you've posted before where he/she's literally through the holes in the feeder... what characters! =)happy weekend =)))
They are very flexible aren't they? And oh so very cute especially the shot of him/her keeking in in the tree. Lovely!!!
I like this guy's rich, warm color. Ours around here are mostly gray with an occasional almost black one. His antics make a fine series for you to shoot.
Squirrels can be so funny! Nice series Tex.
You have them all posing for you...Costas
Squirrels are very agile and get into the most impossible poses. Tis one has a beautiful orange belly. Great shots.
I always look forward to your squirrel pics! Such cute little buggers! They do seem to enjoy working out in your trees -- "gyms with limbs"! Enjoy your day1Sylvia
you took my line, too stinkin cute!! that's what i was sayin as i scrolled thru!! yours are soooo much prettier then mine, all decked out in orange for fall!!my squirrells spend the entire day hiding nuts. they are CRAZY right now!!
Great shots of an agile little performance artist.
T, great shots, of the little scoundrel! Their agility always amazes me! Nice and sunny here today, but the temperature is below zero!
Our squirrels don't have orange tummies...colorful. They are so stinking cute! I love the flip and the hang!
Nice articles. I'm just blogwalking and very happy to stop here. And also give you some comment here.Dont forget to give us some your comment into my blog too. Thanks for share,¤ Rio Prasetyo ¤
such cute, little, red undersides. as if they sleep in a dish of tomato sauce every night. ;o)
They are so persistent the little pests :O)
Cute... I never liked the quip 'tree rats,' or 'rats with fuzzy tails.' I like my squirrels!
Cute, cute, cute!
Cute is as cute does... I took down my feeders a couple of years ago because I got sick of feeding the squirrels. No matter what we did, they could empty one in no time and the birds were out of luck. They are ingenious (and, ok, cute) little devils. I am going to try again in a different spot. Wish me luck.
Your little squirrels are lovely to see... so much character..
Squirrels are cute, but I'm afraid of the rabies and other things they carry. You got some great photographs of him though.
An artiste.So cute.Greetings, Angela
These little guys just never quit at your place! :D
Love the pictures and the titles.
resourceful little buggers.... good with rice too.
that squares it. I'm now officially in love with brown bellies. happy weekend to you.
The antics of the little tree rat are so darn cute. Thanks for making me smile, T.
They sure are cute, I enjoy them every time you show us pictures! :)
Hi Texwisgirl, Boy oh boy, is that a familiar scene. Funny to see but gee, poor birds. Have a great Sunday tomorrow!
I would love to have one for a pet, but then I would need a tree in the living room. I think I will just keep enjoying your close-ups : )
A very acrobatic squirrel - is he scouting for his T-giving feast? Have a great holiday!
Hi there - 3 comments in one go - I think that's a record!I'm not sure how long I looked at the pelicans until I saw that there were two birds not one!Have a good week! Cheers - Stewart M - Australia
I love the tail in the second photo... so detailed and intricate like a mandala or something! My mom got so mad at me this morning. The dogs were going crazy at the patio door. Turns out there were squirrels chomping some...umm... treats I left out there for them. It took them a whole day to find it! Inside I was cheering, but outside I was smart enuogh to look chaste.
Squirrels are the coolest.
Life is good for them there Tex! Love the flip!
Cute and smart! And flexible too! Haha!xo Catherine
He's a limber little guy!
Hopefully there will be one on "the fall"...
oh so stinkin' cute.. love your tree rats! great shots, as always -Tammy (I could stare at your photographic gems for hours!)
Biggest clowns in the neighborhood! Acrobats and jokers. Alot of fun to watch!
Such lovely bold colouring your little squirrel is sporting. Ours are imports and of the grey variety. We have a greedy little pair that visit our bird feeders daily. They love unshelled peanuts so we've bought a couple of bags to ration out, hoping they'll leave some seed and suet blocks for the birds! Ours even devour the sugar water we provide for the different nectar feeders. They are so cute, though!
Superb shots of the little rascal! They look cute but can prove to be great nuisance.
What great shots of this acrobatic fellow!
Makes me so miss the 6 Red-fox variety that I raised and released...they really are sweet characters!
Love your shots of this squirrel. He's a handsome little fellow, andthe pose is so cute.
oh my goodness! love all these!my heart melted just looking at those cute guys.
LOL being the wisconsin girl you are, arent there any hardware stores down there that pay 2 bucks a tail? Im sure you could convince those guys to give up their tails for sunflower seeds...
Something we don't see in Australia.
These types of pictures always make me laugh...Thanks!
Your squirrel photos are so amusing! Even though I deal with the "grey ones" here. They harass all my birds and my husband. Great photo...
I agree! Adorable!
These guys are so fun to photograph, aren't they? Great set. We had a squirrel taunting my dog from the neighbor's roof this morning, flicking his tail and chattering. Drives my dog nuts.
Great photography--fun. I have a couple of cats that enjoy squirrel snacks. We find a tail at least once a week, but the supply never runs short.
what a little cutie pie....
They do like to show off and act cute. I swear the little varmints will pose if they think they will be rewarded with nuts.
You know as I was looking at your pictures - I think our squirrels have a white underneath - I have to go take another look. I know they eat that birdseed. Sandie
Just wondering, do they have squirrel Olympics?
Lovely squirel !Greetings from France,Pierre
Looks like a girl to me! I sure miss my own tree rat--she was pretty special.
Congrats on POTW with these great shots! My husband spoils our squirrels no end, puts out pecans and walnuts for them (the ones I have set aside to bake pies with, so he has only himself to blame this Turkey day if he is pieless)...you certainly know your way around a camera1!Sandi
They ARE cute - greedy but cute. Congrats on your POTW award!
So cute! Congrats on the POTW!
Sooo funny! thanks for sharing!
So cute you forgive him for stealing the seeds! Ah, maybe the birds aren't so forgiving.;)
