These incredible old trees have seen and heard so much. They are cutting five miles worth of these beautiful trees along the road side a few miles from my home-on the road "to town" and I have to take the long way around because I cant stand to see this happening-progress isn't always pretty-or right.......

That tree just calls me to bring a blanket, book, mug of tea and enjoy the afternoon underneath its branches. Beautiful!

Lucky you to have such wonderful trees on your property! I too have noticed that "golden" effect when the light is reflected off a tree in full fall foliage. Usually late in the day Magic!

Beautiful...I'd forgotten how lovely oaks are this late in the season. Living in New Orleans they're evergreen. Not so here in North Cackalacky!
I think I actually signed up as a follower a while back! Been checking in but don't often comment. I seem to be late to the party always in the comment section as I'm now comment #59, lol!
come back and visit soon...

Now that is one beautiful tree. And looks lovely in front of your new fencing. We only have a very small oak tree we planted but it has great history already. We brought it from a forest in Germany my hubby grew up in as a seedling. Planted it on some property we had at the time. It was there for 10 years then sold the property and transplanted to an other property. It grew there like crazy for 10 years. Then we sold that property and when moving it this time had to cut the top off. It has been here now for 10 years. Was slow going for awhile as it didn't have a leader but it is finally growing pretty good now. Ok I have rambled on enough
