To jednak zostały w Twoim stawie :-). Śliczna parka. Pozdrawiam
Just getting ready to go on some birding fun here. Your pics are a great way to kick off the morning:)
They are so beautiful. Looks like you have to hide in the tall grass to capture them. Margie
So colorful! What a find. :)
It looks so peaceful at your place. Do you have a blind to sit in and take these beautiful pictures? Or are you so 'at one' with the nature that they will pose for you like that?
They are so pretty, we don't have ducks like that around here.. mostly mallards.
The good news is that you guys have water. Nice shots!
They are so colorful and interesting!
They are a good looking pair.
So pretty! We have had an interesting-looking duck in our water recently, but I haven't been able to get a photo. He keeps diving under the water whenever I aim the camera in his direction!
Even far away, you can see how beautiful they are. You need a hunting blind by the pond. Hubby has one and I think I'll set it up by one of Bro O's ponds to see what I can find, come spring. I'm a mild weather bird watcher.
They look so peaceful :-)
great shot friend!!! they are hard to get....
They're beautiful! Of course, I'm a sucker for ducks (as you know, lol!)
Nice capture...I see your pond is getting filled up again! Yay!
they are really beautiful, and for the first time, i think i like the hen better than the drake.
They are so beautiful.Don't see them around here.
They are lovely and colourful aren't they? Great shots.
Those are pretty! You captured them wonderfully!
That drake is quite stunning, he looks like he should be in NASCAR with those racing stripes ;-)
They are such pretty creatures. When I first glanced at the thumbnail of your first picture on my blog's sidebar, I thought Thelma Jean was taking a dip in the pond! And my thought was, oh, my goodness, it's too cold to go skinny-dipping!
Gorgeous feathery bodies! You are a lucky gal!
I love the diving pictures, what great angles.
That second shot is really good... the drakes are beautifully colored aren't they??
They are lovely birds!
Love the colors in these photos. . . really nice!
they are beautiful, as are all the hints of fall color in the grass around water!!is this your pond t?? looks like it's holding a lot of water!!
HI Teresa...Hooded Mergansers are not easy to get close to ...that I know, but great job!! : }At the ocean they are less timid for some reason, but here on the river...FORGET IT!!Grace
Their markings and colors are stunning.. but why are the males always prettier?~:)
I would love to just SEE a couple of these beauties. Getting a picture would be incredible. Thanks for sharing.
Beautiful birds. I've only seen them here in collections. Must be great to have such beauty visit you.
I love mergansers. So pretty
We got some nice rain last week. I was wondering if you got any of it and if your little pond is filling?
Even from a distance they look beautiful. Are they regular visitors or seasonal with a brief stop-over?
That is a beautiful pair! Such pretty colors!
Gosh, they're gorgeous! :)
These guys are beautiful! Wouldn't mind having them in my pond :D
The Mergansers are beautiful, as is the water with the ripples and colorful reflections!
Such wonderful shots.. Looks so peaceful floating there on the water..
Hi Texwisgirl, So pretty and handsome. Great snaps! Hooded Mergansers always are hard to get pictures of. They tend to be out in the water and dive a lot. Have a wonderful day today!

They are so beautiful and colorful! Great captures as always! Hope your week is going well, Theresa! Enjoy the day!Sylvia
Their colors are awesome! And they are quite shy. They just don't like being followed by the paparazzi!xo, misha
I want to be like them and float through the rest of the week. Unfortunately four day work weeks mean more and more work. No floating going on here! Have a happy day.
Very nice! Love the coloring and lighting.
A very pretty pair!
They are really pretty!
T, a lovely pair! You'll have to build a blind right at the edge of the pond and get some close ups!
Boy, those are glorious looking ducks!
Wow! Such beautiful colors and reflections! The ducks are adorable and so pretty! It really is paradise at your ranch!
Wonderful birds to see.. I love the variety you see on your land.
Beautiful Hooded Mergansers, they are number 1 in my list.
Impressive patterning on the drake, beautiful!
nice to have them out there; you need a hide! Looks like the perfect place ........
These are pretty special visitors to your pond. Thanks for letting us have a look at them with you! I think you're many friends have the right idea about a blind. Might want to have a long lens in the 300mm plus range also.
A stunning couple! How lucky you are to have them visiting your pond.
Had to look that one up and see if I were to add another to my list of "Texas but not here". Nope, they are here too. They are a beauty as Steve Irwin would say.
What beautiful shots, I bet ya had to be real sneaky to capture such wonderful pictures.God bless and have yourself a fantastic New Year Sweetie!!! :o)
Beautiful! I saw hens for the first time last spring, yet never saw a drake before, how handsome is he!!!

These are beautiful, but I'm so jealous! We startled a family of Mallards on Monday but I didn't have my camera ready! (Still have the memory, though, and it's lovely!)
I'm happy to see the water in your pond. We had several days of slow soaking drizzle here in south Texas. we're so thankful.
Great pictures, beautiful birds, but shy and secretive too.
