Reflections

These photos may only bring glee to me.  These shots are taken from the end of our deck, looking across the pond.  I'm thrilled to report that the bits of rainfall we've received this month (3/4 inch here; an inch there) have been coming steadily enough to rejuvenate a portion of our pond that had gone dry this fall.  Although it is still very low, just having water back in this section is wonderful to see!
To have the edge of that gorgeous orange plastic barricade fencing touching water again is a blessing.
And to have the water reach all the way over to my normally-under-water tire barrier is fantastic.
Keep it coming, Mother Nature!  :)

I am happy the bit by bit rain has brought some zest back to the pond . . . Great photos . . . The orange of the fence always seems to bring an extra glow to your photos.

Weather seems to be a constant perplexing bag of tricks. We have had a total of 5" of snow since November compared to the usual 50, 60, 70 plus inches at the end of December. Non, nadda, nothing on the ground . . . Breaking records around here for sure . . . And early predictions were that this would be the heaviest snow fall record in years . . .
So far . . . we wait . . .

It's good to see those reflections, I remember when you put that fence up to keep the bigger kids out of trouble.

We have had record rainfall this year. My weather computer tells me we've had 61.5", probably 10" more than I've ever measured.

That's great to see water back in the pond. I was upset to see the drought hit most of Texas. You all have such wonderful forests. So I'm glad the rain is finally coming back...hopefully on a regular basis.

Hi Texwisgirl, Good that you have had rains. Good too that the pond is filling because of the rains. I sorta like that orange reflection if not the plastic itself. Must be that TN in me! Ha! Just joking of course! Or, it could be that TX in me, too! Ha, Ha! Have a great day!

Delighted that you have received some rainfall. Rain does bring joy & happiness to many the world over. Here in India the Eastern coast is experiencing cyclonic weather with Puducherry & Cuddalore towns facing the worst battering. Hope this crisis blows over soon.

Happy New Year to you & yours!
