I love the way they each have their own rug to lay on. Makes me feel all warm and sleepy just looking at them...they are so content.

Nancy @ A Rural Journal said...

Nothing better than basking in the sunshine -- they look so content. :)

Candy C. said...

Your own rug, on the porch, in the sunshine, with your sister, doesn't get any better than this! :)

At the moment you took the photo's the pack was in a 'calm and submissive state of mind'. You must be the pack leader!

You're the one.

Pricilla said...

They sure look content

Desiree said...

I love the way you also put rugs out for them to recline on. We do the same for our dogs.

Angela said...

They are living the good life! I love how they get along sitting beside of each other like that. They would suffer from depression and freeze to death if you were to move to West Virginia because the sun hasn't been out in days! It is unseasonably warm here but still just dreary and blah...

Inger said...

I love, love, love them. What a crew you have. And one ear is black, the other spotty. How cool is that!

Rita said...

Contentment! What's better than soaking up the rays and keeping an eye out for trespassers. ;)

Annabella said...

Aren`t dogs just the best? Lovely shadows!

awww...love that they are each on their own rug. this is precious. great pair for shadow shots today!!!

Sinbad and I on the Loose said...

I like how each has her own rug. I imagine the critters of the night like to root around beneath the deck.

Chatty Crone said...

Seems she is moving in the sun and then back out. Both are beautiful. sandie

Louise said...

Beautiful girls! Sigh, the only critter that can relax more completely than a dog is a cat. I suppose that they are both totally secure in the knowledge that they have allowed themselves to be domesticated and have traded a little bit of freedom for the right to rule a household, and have servants to watch over them and protect them.

barbara l. hale said...

Lucky dogs! I like that they each have a nice rug to be comfortable on.

Marvin said...

All seems to be having such a hard time keeping their eyes open. I think I will go take a nap now.

do they ever get confused over which rug is theirs? If it was summer I'd think they just got out of the pool (pond) and are lounging in the sun working on their tan.
