that last photo has so many things in it that I love. the windmill, the barn THE TREES, the shadows of the trees. i noticed this beautiful farmstead doesn't have a gate, so maybe no animals?
The windmills are always interesting. All the abandoned family farmsteads we have now in you county... not so nice. And the thousands of giants windmills.. necessary but not very nostalgic.
The windmills used to be all around when I lived in west TX, but now they are the GIANT windmills for the generators! LOVE the old one. blessings ~ Tanna
I love windmills too! More though, I love the "say no to word verification". It took me 4 tries on a blog the other day to get it right! So frustrating....
I too am always fascinated with windmills when I see them out on the road even though most are all made by the same company AeroMotor it seems. Still they have their own individuality.
Love these shots! Those windmills look so cool. I tried to get a few shots of windmills from I-40 when we were traveling by car last summer...mine didn't turn out too well.
I love these old windmills! They have much more character than the gigantic towers on the wind "farms" around here! I also notice green grass...and am reminded of the difference in our climates this time of year.
Texas is looking a little green right now... guess what we are having a winter drought. Reports are out saying frogs and toads aren't spawning yet and are in decline...
I can't resist windmills either. The orginal owners of the ranch put three so each kid has one on the part they inherited. Hey it has drizzled here all day. Hope you're getting some.
I really, REALLY want to move in here. Maybe we'd be next door neighbors and while you chase bulls with hammocks on their horns, I would make you a HUGE Banana Split. :))
I like the windmill and just saw your sidebar about the no commenting on blogs that require WV. Good for you T! This comment form has changed. Looks nice. Margie
I really like the classic design of this windmill, perfect for the setting. Although, I have to say the new turbine farms are really interesting as well, in their own modern way.
P. S. No matter if you do not leave comments on my blog because of the word verification, I will continue to visit your wonderful blog and leave comments whenever I can.
Great photos. The windmill is beautiful and they aren't found in our part of the world anymore. Thanks for visiting and leaving a comment on my post. Blessings, Pamela
Looks like a nice spread & I bet my dad would love to get ahold of the windmill... he has 6 or 7 of them at the farm, all different sizes!
I'm trying to get used to this new comment layout... but, of 4 people that I informed of the fact that word verif was turned on, on their blogs last week, only 2 has turned it off... I really thought everyone would comply, ya know?! Sheesh! =)
I, too, can't resist windmills! Very pretty setting for this little ranch. I love the shadows cast across the side of the barn. Thanks for visiting my barn.

Love the windmill! You don't really see those around here.
I saw plenty of windmills when I lived in Kansas, but have yet to see one here in Tennessee.
I like this place. Yes, I think it was the windmill.
When I lived in North Dakota about a hundred years ago, there were so many old windmills. Why on earth wasn't I interested in photography then.

Opened fence leading right to the wind mill . . .

I love those windmills, they look so cool. You don't see them around here. Nice pictures :)

You finished this post off with the windmill, great shot. I like i!
I can't resist a windmill :) Very pretty Tex!
Oh, how cute!
I can still hear them squeaking to be greased. How sweet and cold the water was on a hot summer day!
I like the looks of this place.
Reminds me of my childhood and our farm with the windmill. Don't see many of them any more.
Yep, like the others, I do love the windmill! Great shots as always! Hope your week is off to a good start!

Looks like a lot of the places around here. I was going to go on a windmill safari one day so, maybe it will be today! Great pics.
I love that last shot!
I was viewing these and thinking how much I love windmills...then I read your last comment. :)
I like your way to get us closer and closer to the windmill. I like to see it whirling in the breeze.
Thank you for the kind words on my latest post. Have happy days ahead.

That windmill is awesome isn't it? I love these pictures Theresa!
We don't seem them around here either, love it!....
Love farmsteads! And that last shot with the windmill is really nice!
Don't you just love those old windmills... so rural America!
I've always been partial to the old windmills, too. They just have so much more character than the new wind turbines that are springing up everywhere.
Nice. there's a windmill museum in Lubbock.
Wiatrak, jak na Twoim zdjęciu znam z filmów :-). Pozdrawiam. *** Windmill, for I know your image of the movie :-). Yours.
Barns are great. Windmills are wonderful. Together it is perfection!
I think that looks a bit small for my taste in barns, but I suppose it would be a good vacation home.
I love windmills too! More though, I love the "say no to word verification". It took me 4 tries on a blog the other day to get it right! So frustrating....
How true...
I love those. It has been awhile since I have seen one quite like that one.
Oh, I love those little windmills! Part rustic, part industrial.
Nothing like it, windmill, beautiful.
I too am always fascinated with windmills when I see them out on the road even though most are all made by the same company AeroMotor it seems. Still they have their own individuality.
Wowwwww...happy new week darling...love Ria...xxx....
Love those pics -- Kinda, sorta like an illustration from a book about "olden times" (like when I was a child...very olden).
Love these shots! Those windmills look so cool. I tried to get a few shots of windmills from I-40 when we were traveling by car last summer...mine didn't turn out too well.
I love windmills too!
Love the windmill!
Really great work!

I like the windmill. I wanted one, but they won't suck water up 210 feet. :-{
I love these old windmills! They have much more character than the gigantic towers on the wind "farms" around here! I also notice green grass...and am reminded of the difference in our climates this time of year.
I'm a huge fan of windmills. They are coming back in popularity for wind energy!:)
These photographs are so peaceful and reflective....
I love the windmill; we don't see many around here in NC
Have a great day...
T, a lovely spread! Looks to be well tended!
That's a pretty one!
Okay, I am ready to move in! You find all the awesome farms and barns that make me wanna pack up and move.
i wanna move there.... you are going to encourage me to switch counties, aren't you???? :)
Yeah, I really like the windmill! Those are practically non-existent here. Used to see them in MI all the time.

Nice windmill. You're right it's hard to resist.

Oh, I would love to live somewhere like that away from noise, over crowded subdivisions, etc. And, I always love your posts!
Texas is looking a little green right now... guess what we are having a winter drought. Reports are out saying frogs and toads aren't spawning yet and are in decline...
I love these rural scenes, and I love the old windmills.
Everyone loves a windmill, great set of photos.
Beautiful! We do not have windmills like these :)
Lovely tranquil scenes.
Love the windmill- nice little place Teresa!
I can't resist windmills either. The orginal owners of the ranch put three so each kid has one on the part they inherited. Hey it has drizzled here all day. Hope you're getting some.

Not me. There is just something about them that's pleasing.
I really like the classic design of this windmill, perfect for the setting. Although, I have to say the new turbine farms are really interesting as well, in their own modern way.

The land looks so flat but I guess that's great for tilling the soil.
Great shots of this old farmstead. I really like the closeup of the barn and windmill.
Now that's a lovely little farmstead. I could almost picture living there. :)
What a wonderful barn and windmill. It is a real charmer. Like the white color. Looks to be in good condition. genie
Such a nice composition. Makes me want to walk through that opening in the fence and explore.
Great setting, I too love the windmill.
One of these days, we are going to surprise everyone in our family and move to a little farm or ranch. An old one...
Nice pics!
That's a beautiful place and some great photos of it.
Such a classic beauty, this wonderful farmstead! Picture perfect!
I, too, can't resist windmills! Very pretty setting for this little ranch. I love the shadows cast across the side of the barn. Thanks for visiting my barn.
Looks like a nice, peaceful place. I like taking pictures of windmills. There are still a few stragglers up here.
