I like the first tree, its kind of an optical illusion. If you would have moved to the left a little to close the gap between them, it would look like it had been cut into and tied together!
I love oak trees and the smell of wet oak leaves..Ooohh and maples! :)
I'm always looking at trees (and birds) when I'm out and about. Those older trees have such character! Yes, the fences, skies, grass, and horses are pretty cool, too--LOL! ;)
What beautiful shots Theresa! I love the trees, you'll have to take more when there are leaves on them! The green grass and the horses - ah makes me hope for spring!
I love trees. Hubby used to run a portable sawmill business. Many of the trees he cut were already downed by something like a storm. Others were in need of being pulled for safety reasons, or to help a forest to thrive. I used to visit him when he was working in the woods. The green canopy with sun peeking through can be amazing! The stately, old trees are my favorite. I would love to put more fruit trees on this farm. The deer really give them a hard time. Venison, anyone?
As you might have noticed, I got rid of word verification. I feel somehwhat lighter! The new one is So hard to read!!
And don't forget that you love the entrance to ranch gates:) I know.....trees are really beautiful without the leaves on them and make a nice sculpture piece in a pic next to a skyline. I'm a sucker for bare leaf trees as well.....although....they are starting to bud a little early this year. I walked out into the garden today and my peach trees are blossoming!!!
Love the clarity your photos bring. I think I can see each and every branch. I love trees too! I hope you will take some pictures of these trees after they "leaf.". .
I love trees too! Awesome photos...I loved all the green too. (hehe...the title reminded me of the scene from "Cannonball Run" when Farrah Fawcett would describe how much she loved trees...)
I love that we can see the skeletons of the trees in winter, especially the old ones, and make up stories about their 'old bones' and what they've been privileged to see in their lifetimes.
And with trees like these how could you not love them??? They are beautiful even without leaves, in fact, they have a very special beauty just as they are! Terrific captures as always! Hope your day is going well!
I've always loved trees too. So much that I have one on my arm, that starts at the wrist and goes up and around my arm. I'm debating what kind of a background to put behind it.
It is too funny that you and I both happened to pick "trees" as a subject on the same day. I love your trees, especially the shape of the one in the last 3 pictures. Trees, what would we do without them?
Are they really going to do-away-with the old blogger 'follow' program? Can't remember what it's actually called. A lot of people, including myself, signed up for the new linky follower... I've seen some say that they are getting rid of the old one & some say they're not... do you know?
I do too...love them all!!! Hate to lose even a branch, yet we do all of the time, so you can only imagine how I get when we lose a tree, and yet, we do that too. These are all very special trees that you shared!
such beauty!! I have been looking at photography blogs lately...and all of a sudden i am seeing things I never saw before...like trees!! I am your newest follower...pls follow back if you can.
I'm so late today I had to scroll waaay down to find your entry. We found a little green on a mesquite today. That is supposed to mean spring is here for sure.
I love trees too.Your trees in TX are so very different from those in Oregon. They stand out like skeletons with no moss or detritus hanging down, how cool.
These are all so gorgeous, but my favorite is the second one. Oh how it reminds me of so many of the trees I used to see when we lived in Texas. Brought back good memories!
LOl...you are funny! I do love trees, you know! BUT i do love dogs, and mountains, and the green grass...and blue sky... and love your blog..too. Thank you for your friendship, dear!
I'm curious as to the species of tree(s) in your post. Actually, I'm curious as to the species of deciduous trees that I see around here, too. ;-) Evergreens are easier to identify, generally.
trees do have such character. hopped over today, thanks to the rural thursdays. i come by to see you all week is seems. to funny!! ha. ha!! thanks, for stopping by my place. hugs. appreciate your comments so. (:
I love trees, too. You sure found some nice shaped ones. Love the composition on that 2nd one. It's nice to see green. We are getting daffodils, but not much green yet.

Yes trees are wonderful! Is the second tree a fruit tree, perhaps a sort of plum?
Have a nice day.
Angela
I'm with you on that statement; stately old trees too
The first tree reminds me of a graceful dancer with arms extended toward the heavens.
oh i do too! there's some pretty old ones i've seen here...i love them!

I'm with you on that, bring on trees.
I really like how it all fades out with those tiny twigs at the end. I looked at those last shots and an afro hairstyle came to mind!
Me too, especially the really big old ones! All of ours are budding out down here..oak pollen! Time for allegra, lol!
Yes, you do love trees and the world is better for it. And by the way.......ramble is my middle name.
You'll get used to it.
I'm always looking at trees (and birds) when I'm out and about. Those older trees have such character! Yes, the fences, skies, grass, and horses are pretty cool, too--LOL! ;)

Me too :-) They look especially nice against any sky, color or monochrome.
Yes, I love all those things too! :)
All great things to love!
ME TOO ME TOO on all of the above. WOW oh Wow on the second shot, the whole photo is gorgeous.
Man, I love trees too.
Will you show me these trees when you leaf out? I'd love to compare them. They are cool trees even when bare.
I love the shapes of trees too - these are really gorgeous against the blue skies!
I love the big trees too and they seem to have more "character" in the winter when they are without their leaves!
They're starting to pop out here.
Beautiful, I'll bet that the canopy looks lovely in the Spring!
Wonderful ...but I admit to focusing on the trees in all these shots
-KAT-

I was just thinking that it certainly looks mighty green now compared to how it looked over the summer with the drought!
Ale z zielonymi liśćmi byłyby jeszcze ładniejsze :-). Pozdrawiam. *** But with green leaves would be even nicer :-). Yours.

I do too. I am not sure what it is about them.
Beautiful !!!...xxx...
That first one makes one wonder why him all alone. How did he get there or how did he escape the chainsaw? Also, thanks for the supporting advice.
All those things added together make one beautiful photo.
Wow...everything looks so green there.
Hi TexWisGirl, I can easily see why you love trees! Beautiful shots! Have a wonderful day!
T, me too! I think trees, any trees, are natures greatest accomplishment!
I'm partial to trees myself, I even like the magnificence of a big old dead tree all gray and leafless.
I love trees as well
I love the shape of the 2nd stuff
she's a chubby one :)
I love trees too! Awesome photos...I loved all the green too.
(hehe...the title reminded me of the scene from "Cannonball Run" when Farrah Fawcett would describe how much she loved trees...)

Me too! and those trees are an important life link to all!
I think that I shall never see
A comment lovely as a tree.
With apologies to Joyce Kilmer.
It is true that Texas trees are unique.
These trees have a lot of character.
I am right with you. I love trees and their various shapes. These are all really great pictures.
Fantastic silhouettes against the blue sky- I hope these trees are live. I'm anxiously watching to see how many didn't make it through the drought.
Lovely to see... now bring on spring and you can share these again... and also in summer..
It is too funny that you and I both happened to pick "trees" as a subject on the same day. I love your trees, especially the shape of the one in the last 3 pictures. Trees, what would we do without them?
I'm a tree lover too! Beautiful tree images!
Oh I'm with you T, I love trees too.
Hey T,
Are they really going to do-away-with the old blogger 'follow' program?
Can't remember what it's actually called. A lot of people, including myself, signed up for the new linky follower... I've seen some say that they are getting rid of the old one & some say they're not... do you know?
LOL, what's not to love about those things eh!!
I'm a sucker for blue skies, but that second photo is awesome. Cheers :D)
That last one has such a nice round symmetrical shape. You'll need to revisit when it's leafed out. :)
All those things are great to love!
Love the graduated blues in the sky in the first pic:@)
I do too...love them all!!! Hate to lose even a branch, yet we do all of the time, so you can only imagine how I get when we lose a tree, and yet, we do that too. These are all very special trees that you shared!
Trees and grass are some of my favorite foods. Fences are more of an appetizer. :-)
Ditto! If you don't mind me saying!
It all looks so nice and yes, I love trees too. Not to mention all of the other things too.
Me too! That second one has lots of personality.
And they love you too T! No one else would give most of them a second look. You are the trees Mother Theresa!
such beauty!! I have been looking at photography blogs lately...and all of a sudden i am seeing things I never saw before...like trees!!
I am your newest follower...pls follow back if you can.
nice pictures...how long does that green grass last in Texas?
What a winning combination....beautiful trees, green grass and horses.....such beauty....
I'm wondering if that second one might be a mesquite?
I love trees in that state too! You can see their "bones" -- their graceful form. Lovely trees and Texas blue skies. Perfect.,
And I love snow today! Beautiful trees across the skyline you captured.
I am always seeing trees you might like now. I see a lot of them : ) Love the first one here.
It's so weird.. I think I love all the same things.. Hee Hee.. These are all great photos..
Gorgeous! The last 3 are my favorite!
You can't go wrong when you put all those things together in one photo. What photo isn't enhanced by the presence of horses? :)
LOL! Me, too! Me, too! Me, too! blessings ~ t.
ps thank you so much for your input on the MIL situation.
I'm so late today I had to scroll waaay down to find your entry. We found a little green on a mesquite today. That is supposed to mean spring is here for sure.
Fences, green grass and blue skies, a very scenic combination especially with a hose in the pasture.
I love trees too.Your trees in TX are so very different from those in Oregon. They stand out like skeletons with no moss or detritus hanging down, how cool.
I agree they are beautiful.
These are really nice...I am really partial to the second one...
I love all of those things too and when more than one is in the shot it makes it even better.
These are all so gorgeous, but my favorite is the second one. Oh how it reminds me of so many of the trees I used to see when we lived in Texas. Brought back good memories!
Great shots! I really like scenes with lone trees.
Sounds like you're in Heaven... surrounded by the things you love!
LOl...you are funny!
