Great shots of the acrobat's prowess. I have a few gray's with similar abilities. Why I don't have to fill my feeders for a bit as they are all on the ground now.

It's a good thing they don't find jewellery so intriguing, they'd make the perfect cat-burglar.

and the REDS are thec worst . . .

Years ago I was house sitting for one of the docs, (who was far, far away) and had awakened, sitting on the 'loo', door opened to the hall, and there sitting at the top of a sculpture piece was a "RED". FREAKED, long story short, called animal rescue, quite a task to get RED out of the house. He had dug his way in through the roof, near a chimney, into the attic, into the house . . . Lovely house had huge reconstruction, "fixit" when vacationers returned!

I've decided to buy a squirrel-proof feeder...if such things exist. ;-) These little dickens are keeping the goldfinches and house finches from that wire feeder. I did fill another "squirrel-proof" feeder with sunflower seeds, so they moved to that one for the time being.

He's going to be knocking on your door in a minute asking you to fill the "squirrel" feeder. When we had our home in Oregon, we spent a lot of time trying to outwit those cute little critters. They can always figure out the bird feeders and they loved black-oil sunflower seeds.

Gone Country said...

It amazes me how they can hang from a tree like that!

Love the peek-a-boo shots of his head beneath the feeders.

Looks like somebody needs to fill the feeders too... or was the squirrel THAT hungry, lol!

These photos just make me smile.. Such a cute little critter..

So cute!

Posie Patchwork said...

Oh Shady indeed. They only look cute when they are nibbling something in their paws, otherwise, not such a nice animal. We have possums in Australia & careful, they'll scratch your eyes out & they're HUGE, like cat size if you're unlucky. Noctural?? Hardly, they come out at the school bell & go through the lunch scraps in the bins. Love Posie

Squirrels are so fun to watch! I like the extreme dangle shots. Those little back feet had to be clutching that branch really tightly.

What a great great series. That is a unique feeder and squirrels can't get in.... I don't think. But what the heck is he eating and I wonder where he got the food. They are pretty tricky little devils and quite amusing.
