Weed Walkers

Great Blue Heron

Great Egret

Mallards (more like weed waddlers, but we'll let that slide...)

Linking to World Bird Wednesday

Because it's St. Valentine's Day, and because my post from last year has been getting a lot of attention from folks searching for Pepe le Pew, here's a link if you need a dose of heartship today...

Theresa,

He is just lovely! I would like to thank you for all of your comments during my {365} project, each one always brought a smile to my face. Again, thanks. Also, 7 or 8, I am not sure of the exact count missed...less than 10 for sure:)

Oh, some of my favorite "people." haha Love that eye in the first photo.

Did I tell you I saw two ducks with no beaks, or half a beak missing? Any idea what would cause that? Turtles? It broke my heart...and made me feel sick for a good long time. I have not seen her since and assume the worse.

Saun said...

Are they at your pond? Great shots

Hi there - I like the first image best - somehow hidden, somehow clear.

Remember - if you can name more than about half a dozen birds you’re a sharper birder than most folk!

Cheers - Stewart M.

You have captured some amazing pics of these water birds - you must need a lot of stealth to take such photographs.

LB @ Bullets And Biscuits said...

The last one of the great white egret...totally fake. I think you stuck a plastic bird in there. Just sayin'. I know Texas don't have pink flamingos but I hear they have plenty of fake egrets. Just sayin'
