great pics; that third wheel makes me think of Rod Stewart?
There's always something to see on a pond isn't there? Loving that it's full again! Let's hope this summer isn't another dry one!
Lovely subdued mood and beautiful color range, Teresa. I love those muted grays and browns.
Was that the rooster leaving that tail?
It's a party on the pond!
LOTS OF ACTION ON THE POND , WHAT A JOYPeter
How wonderful...except for the Heron. He's beautiful but eats a lot of our fish and has almost completely eaten our supply of bull frogs. I get kind aggravated when I see a big pond fish half down his gullet!
those are just so cute!looks like a beautiful sunny day...it just makes me want to run my hand into the water.
You had a real party down on the pond! Looked like the 2 "boys" weren't too eager to have the lady join them! Nice photos!
Entertainment right out your door. Perfect
Gotta love the female Hooded Merganser. She has some style.Maybe going to need 'No Wake' signs before summer is over!
I just love Mergansers!
Haha! Love the funky hair!
"Just" a day on the pond - it is wonderful to have the pond and the Mergansers. Nice to see the pond filled back with water. Love, sandie
Don't you wonder what they think about as they calmly float around their world? Wonder what I'll have for dinner tonight? That junior better not be up to no good? Quarles, if you quack one more time I'm going to scream?
Looks like everyone is happy the pond filled back up:@)
Great pictures . . . lovely place you have there and views to enjoy each day . . .
You are seeing a lot of action in the pond. Looks good.
Doesn't he know that mohawks went out of fashion with the 80s?
New birds for me T - I've never seen Merganser's before - now that's what I call a 'do'!xx

This was a great set of photos, with good story telling to go with them. There's always a little drama going on right outside our doors, if we'll just take the time to watch.

Obyś codziennie miała takich wspaniałych gości w swoim stawie. Dziękuję bardzo za troskę o mojego pieska, ma się lepiej. Mam nadzieję, że teraz komentarz pójdzie. I hope that comment will go now. I did it before, but I could not, leaving an error. Yours.
Pond too can generate their own 'aroma' from the deep.
Your pond is a magnet for all kinds of birds, just wonderful!!
Love the variety of ducks you have around. We get mallards and the occasional merganser but that's about it.
So much action going on at the pond!
I wanna spend the day at your pond!
Our ponds are still ice covered ( 3 feet thick). However, I did see a couple of geese sitting out on the middle of a pond by our place. Lucky you!
T, great captures! Always interesting when there's two males and one female!
I love mergansers
What a great fist full of birds in the first couple of photos. You certainly have a bird magnet in that pond of yours. Nice pics T.

Hey Tex, do they allow you to get that close or do you have a zoom lense? They are gorgeous!
You sure get a variety of water birds to your pond. It must be fun to check and see who's at your pond each day. :)
Gorgeous photos, Theresa. I hope that pond is still full of water in August... Even if we have a hot summer, I hope that there's no drought.Have a great weekend.Hugs,Betsy
Such lovely sights on your pond! Love the mergansers.
A beautiful female cardinal drawing below. Can't wait to see what you do next. You are so lucky to have all these water birds just out your door! I'm glad you share them with us.
Great variety of waterfowl all in one spot! Especially to have the Hoodies and heron together. Nice shots!

Hi there - very nice birds - must be great to have them on the pond.My latest post to my 'other blog' is about the 3 ponds closest to my house - if you have time you may enjoy a trip around some Australian water.Cheers - Stewart M
Those images are each very lovely!
All those beautiful birds you have visiting.Great shots! Thanks for sharing.
Again, lucky you! We've been looking at all water sources we can find around here for birds, but not having much luck. If only your pond were closer. I think it's still a little early around here.
They are seriously like little power boats. I got some pix of a mallard family this week. Most of the wee ones were calmly swimming near Mama, but there were one or two (had to be boys) zipping around them in circles. I'll be posting them this coming week sometime.
Those darn stray males--LOL!You have such a great view with your personal pond. I'd be sitting out on the porch all the time. :)
Just taking a few minutes today to answer a few comments...and check out the commenters' latest. Thanks for your comments on both the fence post and on the birds in my yard, and for expressing your concern over my eye. I had some drops left over from Jan so I started treating immediately and it is helping, but I will still need to see the opthamologist to make sure all is well. Lovely pond photos, Teresa!
