NE Texas cattle country

Same vicinity as this great tree (you remember this tree, right?)  :)

Flat land, wide-open spaces, blue sky, green grass.  A nice start to the 2012 season.  These were actually taken the first week of February, but thought I'd share some NE Texas green for St. Patrick's Day...

Before I read your commentary I was thinking “the wide open place of Texas.” Guess we all think of Texas that way. Lots of green here today. Guess the rains have finally come to help you all out. Bud is out driving a shuttle of hikers up onto the Appalachian Trail - this is the time of year they start out the miles from Georgia to Maine - and I am at home getting ready to play with the camera and a dozen roses. You know me and the textures....I am determined to get a real grip on the use of them. I know...gotta avoid the toilet paper one. I giggle all the time about that. It is such fun when friends put smiles on other friends’ faces. Maybe I can find one that does the same thing but without the toilet paper signature. Hugs and Happy St. Patty’s Day. Posted my favorite photos of Eloise in our creek in her green shirt my son - her daddy - bought her. He will be 41 tomorrow. .....my baby. I cannot believe it. Take care and have a nice weekend. genie

The flat ground reminds me of Michigan minus all of the woodlands. It's nice to be able to see such long distances. Not something we get to do with our rolling hills.
