Great shots of that little "thief". they always seems to find ways to get to the food that's not meant for them. HAve a lovely day!Eva
:) made me smile; you got some wonderful snaps, maybe it was worth it?
They'll do anything to get at that seed! But they are so cute!
The shots were wonderful! Pesky little things always manage to do what it takes to get the food!
I know it's annoying, but I laughed out loud at the top picture with the feeder on the ground and the squirrel hard at work teasing those seeds out. You've got to admire him, even as you call him names!

Are you going to press vandalism charges?
LOL, what a cute series #5 is my favorite, he seems to be smelling the aroma of his yummy treasure!
What a great sequence! Wonderful captures of this little cute hungry thief.
LOL in snap #3 you can see how wide his butt is!
A cute varmint, but still a varmint.
They are great at stealing...and driving you crazy too!
Proof of why they drive me nuts! Cute photos though. :)
São muito fofos... mas também dão prejuízo.Bom domingo de Ramos!Beijinhos.Brasil¸.•°`♥✿⊱╮°º♫
Oh, but it's so much easier than hanging upside down. Now, if I can only figure out where that large hole went.
Hee,hee!"What varmint? I don't see any varmints round here, do you?" (second photo!)They are rascals, but oh, so cute!
He sure had to work hard, yet he found a means to the end! How funny. :)
Geeze these guys are determined creatures. They just will not give up. We have no problem with them and only see a few now and then. But, now your place is a different thing. I bet they do drive you nuts. They do provide the opportunity for some great shots...and they do make me giggle. genie
what a stinker, I bet the birds had a few one liners for him!
Dear Misha,I owe you a big apology. I visited from Irish Garden House yesterday and wanted to show my redhead daughter your beautiful site. Before I knew it she had snatched your picture by Carrie to her computer. Glad you are feeling betterVarmint's, drat, indeed,Lynn Day

Ditto . . . . !!!!!!!!!!
They are certainly persistent little creatures, and craft, and smart, and cute!
And the age old battle continues!LOL
What a bugger ;)
haha! the little varmint's motto "where there's a will, there's a way!"
Made me think of James A Michener's short story, "The Colonel and Genghis Khan."
Uh oh! But he looks so innocent.
One day you will wake up and the feeder will be gone! Smart fella!
Haha! Cute series !
Tex they did a great April Fool's on you! Love those Fox Squirrels. Look at that defiant little face :)
I swear it looks like he's laughing in that second pic! They're funny but pesky little boogers:@)
I chase them all the time off my porch. That guy doesn't look like he's needing any more food! Pesky but you have to admit they are just trying to get enough food to be able to waddle off! :-) Great shots!
Oh, but they are so dang cute!! I just love squirrels. They're too smart for their own good, I guess. ;)
All that work trying for so long....he finally got it! :-)
LOL, he may have a wee brain, but he still figured out how to safely have his snack!
tree rat, 1...theresa, 0!!it looks like he's smiling at you!!
Hahaha! Dang varmints... He is cute, though...and fun to watch!
Great serie of his work to get some food....very qute.
Busy little bugger, isn't he? Always love your squirrel shots! And, yes, I do think he's smiling just for you!sylvia
Sorry, but varmints as portrayed by you are absolutely and totally adorable!
He's laughing at you in the second picture! lol I see too he don't look like he fits through the holes anymore so he had to knock it down so he could smell those wonderful seeds in one of the pictures! lol
OMG! T, I can't believe you did this post! I've got one big fat mama jumper (literally) who launches himself from a tree or strategically from a small hill and refuses to give up until he's in/on/around my feeder like that! Where did we get those feeders? My son wants one for his new yard...help! I know you told me once before, but got rid of my desktop where I had it saved!!!...:)JP
They wont give up will they, but they make great photo shots enjoy your day Peter
I know what you mean - why then do we so love photos of them?
Aw, but they're so cute!
Wonderful to see how confident squirrels can be. I have one of Chester's finest to share in a few days... he literally ran up to me begging for food. I could have picked him up.
Yep, the saying, "Where there's a will, there's a way" comes to mind. Little rascals!
This is really special. You caught not only the heart but the soul of the moment. Love, Manzi

But oh so cute!
Nice series.I guess Kathy said it all:persistent, craft, smart and cute.Have a nice evening!
No...no..no...naughty squirrel. On the bright side, it made for some great pics. :)
Naughty. Brilliant. I'm not sure which....but someone had a nice meal:)
T, Ha, finally figured out a way of getting to the seed without having to hang upside down!!
Cheeky little guy!
Great photos! Squirrels are clever, persistent but so cute!
A happy looking varmint.
Squirrels are rascals but they do provide many photo opportunities. Great captures!
Not many things are more fun to watch than a squirrel trying to get into a bird feeder. This pudgy little guy looks as if he's pretty successful at it.
The squirrels do have the amazing ability to one up us on any attempt to keep them from the food!
Dearest Theresa,That squirrel looks fat... He/she is enjoying the good life.Love to you,Mariette
Well you shouldn't tease them with such a great feast!
The cage for bird food seems to be burglar-proof. Squirrel usually tricky. Wonder how he solves the problem? / Brita
I'm sure it was already knocked down. Innocent little tree rats would never do such a thing! LOL! Thievin' varmints. Love the shots!
so cute and funny, ohhhhh sweet =)
Lorelei's mom really had the battles with squirrels when she lived near us....now she don't even try. They are determined little fellows.
Squirrels are determined little critters, but amusing to watch. Great shots.
They may be pests but they are cute pests. :))
He was on a mission. I need these today.
Love 'em. The squirrels are always after some food.
One chyba nigdy nie rezygnują z dotarciem do celu.Cudne zdjęcia i to co na nich. Pozdrawiam.*** They probably never give up in reaching the goal. Wonderful pictures and squirrel them. Yours.
OMGosh, that's hilarious! it knocked the darn thing down but can't get the seeds out... dad-gum them lil *($#(*#(*#@$&(* =)
LOL, I guess they got tired of the aerial view when eating!!
If there's a will there's a way. Those little guys are smart.
Sneaky, both him finding the treats and you for catching the moment!
I guess he finally ate so much bird seed that the holder just couldn't take the extra weight! ;-)
Hi TexWisGirl, I am wondering if the squirrel brought the feeder down or if a raccoon did earlier? In any event, the squirrels do get into the feeders quite often. So far (knock on wood) no squirrel on my new feeder - far away from trees and the area where the squirrels live. Ha we will see...Have a super day tomorrow and a nice coming week.
Ha, they made it easier for themselves to eat all your birdseed. They are little devils.
Victorious little fart. He's good at what he does. :)
ahhh, they are so clever aren't they? Little buggers...
Well, misery loves company :) I'm glad to see I'm not alone in fighting the battle of the squirrel brigade. My feeders seem to be on the graound as much as in the air :/
Little stinkers!! They will do anything for a bite to eat!
Thats not to nice of him now is it!! But he looks like he is enjoying himself.. Hugs, Linda
They are so cute!!
Complain all you want, but I know you love him. ;)
Bet that little guy ate so much that he had a huge tummy ache!!!!! Those squirrels will do anything to reach the bird feeders, won't they???? Dang it...Hugs,Betsy
Smart little one! These are fantastic shots.
Yep .. at it again!
T, did the feeder bang the squirrel in the head on its way down? Wondering why the varmint is trying to get food from the end, not from inside. OH WAIT, that would be because it is too... fluffy to fit in the hole? :) Beautiful pictures!
It could be worse... it could be a raccoon. Been there, done that. ;)
Determined suckers! Margie
It's a good thing they are so cute.
Such a pretty squirrel! I am guessing that is a trap he is so expertly avoiding getting caught in!
But - cute photos of the crook!
Just the other day when you posted a picture of the squirrel in the bird feeder my son asked me if they ever break them by laying in them? I said I didn't know. I will show them what they do they can get them out of the tree.
It's not so bad when a thief is that cute, eh?
Pesky little brat...he's just too dang cute! Great captures, Theresa!

Little twerp knock down the bird feeder? They are so sneaky!! (but cute. you can't say they're not cute.)
Cute series!I love that one with his eyes closed and his nose up to the end. It's as if he is just as fasinated with the aroma. :)I love the pesky squirrels!
Well it seems and appears you've been outwitted. ;-) Clever little rascals!!!

Love that picture with his eyes closed! Looks like a wine taster taking in the scents.
That is one VERY determined squirrel- he is kinda cute though!
A real busy body.Lovely pics.
So very adorable!
Very cute series of pictures.
I must confess, as I have before and will do again...I LOVE those Red Fox Squirrels and I can see by the images of this delightful looking one, that they are just as naughty as the Gray Squirrels are on our land. Those feeders... I even have Squirrel and Raccoon baffles to stop them and up they come anyway...Dang Varmints...RIGHT~
He looks rather pleased with himself. That's a squirrel for you.
These squirrels remind me of naughty schoolboys who've been caught up to no good by the headmaster, with that guilty look on their faces. Lovely photos of the cheeky food-thief!
I find my feeder for peanut splits on the ground more often than not.
Second time today I have seen the word "drats"
Great shots!Looks like he's smiling on the second one.
Wonderful reason to have taken some fabulous photos. Still no excuse, he should have continues hanging upside down to eat, right?
The squirrel looks pleased with it's self.
Caught in the act!
hahah...reminds me of a kid playing one of those block puzzle games where you stick money in it, haha
That is too funny, looks like he has a feast going on.
