  80. Elegant bird, such beautiful feathers. (You can sort of understand how -- back before anyone knew any better -- their plumes were so prized for hats.) I hate to think of it, but still you can kind of see why, given the way "ladies" had to dress back then...... Thanks to the people who worked so hard to save these beautiful creatures from extinction.

  84. If this is the same type bird that sits on John's cow's backs I've never seen one this close. I watched a flock of them yesterday. A cow would switch her tail to get the bird off then it would scare all of them and they would fly in a circle near the cows then land again.

  101. How stunning! You can see why they were almost killed out for their tail feathers at one point! Thank goodness conservation efforts prevailed there, and we still have these beautiful birds to enjoy!
