He may be hard to capture, but you did it! I like his crest.

Wonderful shots. Their heads seem to big for their bodies!
Fabulous hair! LOL He's such a cutie! I've only seen them in photos. Thanks for sharing! Have a terrific Tuesday!
He is a little bird, yet he is a king.
Such a cute little guy/gal...great capture.

Fantastic shots, T. You captured him perfectly.Love his blue-do.. except for the blue I too have the same do in the morning.
He is so cute! Great job.
What's the deal with all your birds having mohawks down there? Send them my way ;)
What a cute little guy! Love him.
What a great little mohawked bird!
That's some strong hair product. What's his secret.
Wow! He's beautiful. I want one. Right now I'm watching a bluejay and a squirrel duke it out over who gets to be first at the just refilled bird feeder.
Great shots of a funny little bird. What a hairdo :)
Amazing shots! I agree, this can be a difficult bird to photograph...very timid. Well done.
you did a good job though.
Just as flighty as our version. You did good Theresa.
Oh he's soooooo cute!
So adorable. I want to touch his head hair.
Wow!I always enjoy my visits here...~K
awww giving you a lil bit of a cold shoulder. he is a cutie!!i am excited for you to see mine today, i am going to post it now as i am on top of things this morning ;)))
Plucky is a good word for him. Some birds can be so uncooperative!
What a nifty hair do! Nice!
Such a cute bird!
Oh my, he is so cute!
Look at his spike! Punky bird.
First shot . . . PERFECT ! Delightful little guy . . .
They sure are hard to get! I've been trying and you've done way better than I have. :)
A bird with a mohawk, looks like my son in law!
Nice with belt on.
He's a beauty.
Aren't you a little cutie! Love your little, messy feather head!
He is wonderful! Great picture!
Totally agree! I found one in Bozeman last fall and the little bugger would NOT stay put long enough to get my camera. Three times I stopped and saw him. So you done REALLY GOOD!
Isn't he something! Such a little guy, but looks kind of tuff. Margie
Wow....some great shots.
Have I told you lately how happy I am you got rid of word verification on your blog, and successfully got others to do so also???? THANK YOU!!! Margie
What a cutie!
I LOVE these birds and regret never seeing one while I lived in San Antonio! The water for the background is perfect.
Nice photo captures you got of him. I agree ~ they are hard to catch still enough to get a photo of. Job well done!
A beautiful series of this pretty little (?) bird. He has an amazing look.. Too bad we don't have these around here.
That's amazing that you captured this!
He's a cutie! I've never seen one before.
I guess that I need a pond to attract the birds (and to keep up with you)
He really rocks that hair!
Really cute bird with a nice crown!
They are very difficult to photograph. Nice job! I can't get close enough, but I like to watch them hover.
Love the hairdo on that dude! Glad you managed to "capture" him.
I used to see more of them when I was younger. Haven't seen one in quite a few years now... thanks for sharing your great pics.'love & hugs from afar'
But you got him! Love his "do".
Yep, love this dude's hairdo!! And you did get some great shots!!
The original punk rocker!
Oh lucky you! I hope to see them again this year...there's a body of water west of us that usually has a couple every year.
What a cute little bugger! "
Kingfishers can be seen flying along the banks of the canal near where I live, but, you're right, they are easily spooked and can be very difficult to spot much less to photograph.
Ah, I adore these guys. They zip and zoom all over up here. They just make me happy
Now that is one handsome little fella!! They look like they are all dressed up for a formal occasion. :)
He's styling with that cresty little head!
Great shots of the Kingfisher. Such a beautiful bird. Wish we had him over here.
Great shots of the adorable little guy.
I sure agree on that last part!! Nice going. Boom & gGry of the Vermilon River, Canada.
What a pretty boy!

Great capture.I am so jealous of you capturing this fellow. Good job.
great kingfisher photos
What a pretty color! (my favorite)
Wow!!! Kingfishers rule...any kind. Like Woodpeckers, these birds are fascinating to watch in the wild....but you're right...they are hard to capture on camera.....but you did it:)
Cute! Great shots!Happy WBW to you!
Nice. I see maybe one or two Kingfishers a year here on the island. Wonder why they are so rare?
Wow, how lucky are you that this little fella stayed put long enough for you to gab a few shots...Great job! He certainly is an adorable little guy.
I really love this bird...nice blue colors! Great photos!
A wonderful bird to see... and a great perch.I am trying to put a few natural perches (sticks) in my garden to try and get better shots than always on my feeders.
They are soooo hard to capture. Love these guys and your pics!
You did a great job of capturing the cute little bugger!
Ten malutki facet jest śliczny, chociaż trochę nie uczesany. Pozdrawiam. This little guy is pretty, though some are not groomed. Yours.
I wish I had hair like that :-)
He is one cute little bird is what he is, and you caught him just right!Cheers,Jo, Stella and Zkhat
Oh I love this. B
He is stunning!
DO'ES HE USE HAIR GEL? enjoy your dayPeter
T, Wow, great captures! They are indeed difficult to get a photo of! Or they have been for me!
What a great looking bird! Some birds just seem to never sit still making it difficult for us to capture them with the camera. Carolina Wrens are difficult for me to capture... they're constantly moving!
Great photos of the kingfisher. They are always beautiful but not always easy to photograph!
But you managed and your photos are lovely!
You did well capturing this cute fellow!
He is REALLY cute!
Great shots - I love his wee tufted head.
You are lucky that it stayed still for you. Everytime I see a kingfisher it squawks and flies off. Great sighting and photos.
I would give anything to get a picture of a Kingfisher -- been one of my favorite birds for years! Yours is beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
he made me smile; quite cute!
Love the hairdo - looks a lot like mine in the morning...only mine is not blue! You did a great job of getting him anyway!

Hi TexWisGirl, Very pretty bird! I seldom see them here but once in a while I get lucky. Have a wonderful Wednesday tomorrow!
But a very cute little bugger, almost cocky. Great photos.
i like that little mohawk he's got going :)
What a cutie! Thanks for sharing him!
Awesome, TexWisGirl!! So enjoyed seeing him! blessings ~ t.
Aw, he is a cutie! I love the blue mohawk.
This is one beautiful fellow. That headdress is awesome. Wish one would fly into one of our trees. Winds have died down tonight so the odor is not so bad, and I did not see any grim smoke rising into the air as in days past. We are supposed to get rain tonight. Keep those fingers crossed. I am feeling better. 4 days flat on my back without any grandchildren helped. Plus I think that dye really irritated my spine. Anyway, I am back at work and have returned to normal. You know me...I will never give up! genie
What a sweet, little fellow!
They are tricky! It seems that as soon as you even think about pointing the camera their way.. off they go with that complaining rattle-like sound. Nicely captured.
Kingfishers are great birds - yet another splendid bird for you 'yard list'!!Cheers - Stewart M
I'm so jealous all the cute guys go to your place.
He's adorable, Theresa... Did you invite him to stay for lunch???? Love that big head and long beak... I've never seen on except in pictures.Hugs,Betsy
So glad your were able to catch a shot of him.. He's a cutie..
Well, what a cocky little fella and sooo stinkin' cute. I WANT ONE....Ever drawn one like him?
A charming bugger nevertheless. Worth every cent of your effort to capture him !
Beautiful birds, I love the colouring.
Oh, I like him! You got a great shot of him too!
I love his punky hairstle:)You still managed cool shots!!!Shantana
Very cute !! Yes, this bird is difficult to take in photo !!
Great pictures you show. Wishing you a good day. Hanne Bente / hbt.finus.dk
Could understand the handwork behind this bird shoot! Excellent
I love kingfishers. This one's a real looker!
Oh I must smile, for the little kit-cat we trapped and saved last Winter, I named Plucky') I chase down the Kingfisher 3 miles from me and never have gotten my one image and it looks like you got a few remarkable images of your beautiful visitor~
He is a beauty!! Looks really cool! :)
I wonder what they would have named the bird had he been wearing suspenders. :oNice capture! They are elusive.
Beautiful hair !
What a beauty!
Beautiful little guy! I would have mistaken him for blue jay..not good in identifying anything :-)
I love that little bird. One gets the impression that he has quite an attitude. Maybe it's the crest. :-)Pearl
He is an awesome bird Tex!
I've never seen one of these in person, but they do live around here, so I'm hoping. Very nice series of shots.
Oh, he's super!!
I can never get near enough to capture one of these! I would consider myself blessed to have taken these images.
Great shot! Please send a few to Michigan, they are MIA so far this Spring.Cheers!
they are one of the CUTEST little birds!!nice shots...even if they are hard to capture.
He is sooo tiny. We had some sort of a king fisher on the lake growing up but I seem to remember him being larger.
Oh my gosh! That little guy is so darn cute! he looks like a punk rocker!
I'm glad you were able to "capture" him! :)
He is such a cool looking bird. Wonderful pictures.
What a cutie. I've not known them to be still long enough for a photo!
I think he and I have the same beautician.

Yes they are difficult to photograph! these pics look like they could have been taken at my local bog! I love this bird!
Why don't you just sell some of your photos? Like say...to me?
He's just adorable T - great captures.
He's very cute!
Congratulations! You did it...thank you! Beautiful blue.
He's gorgeous. I have had trouble shooting them too. They sure don't seem to stay put very long.
